Thankfully, a market intelligence firm doesn’t think these price changes will be as dramatic as previously predicted. According to reports, the base price of the iPhone 14 will start at $749, and the “Pro” model price is estimated to see a price increase of $50 instead of $100. Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives has said twice that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be $100 more expensive than their direct predecessors.

However, TrendForce sees things differently, arguing that customers will only have to pay $50 more for the premium version, according to 9to5Mac. The base iPhone 14 was previously rumored to start at $799, and TrendForce estimates the non-Pro model will also be cheaper, starting at $749. The report also highlights that other upgrades to the iPhone 14 series will drive prices up.

These upgrades include increasing the initial capacity to LPDDR5 6GB and 256GB, increasing the main camera to 48 million, and changing the Face ID design, which is expected to increase the starting price. However, under the pressure of global inflation and rising foreign exchange rates, Apple is expected to adopt a more cautious pricing strategy so as not to affect its sales performance.

Given the new estimates, the selling prices for each iPhone 14 model are as follows:

iPhone 14 – $749

iPhone 14 Max – $849

iPhone 14 Pro – $1,049

iPhone 14 Pro Max – $1149

The Pro models are pricier, as both are rumored to exclusively feature an A16 Bionic processor, faster LPDDR5 memory, a 48-megapixel main camera, and a ProMotion panel. All of these new additions will mean higher prices for consumers, but even with component price hikes and global inflation affecting many regions, Apple’s rumoured price increase demands are not absurd compared to the iPhone 13 lineup .
