There should be an option to always turn on only the top half of the screen
Gurman suggests that, like Android phones with always-on displays, it could be possible to have a setting that only shows the top half of the lock screen with the date and time and widgets.
He also hopes that if only the top half of the lock screen is always lit, it will help alleviate battery life concerns for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
