Most recently, Apple announced that it will announce earnings details for the fourth quarter of 2022 on October 27, when it will hold an investor conference call to gain insight into sales of the new iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models, as well as the new Apple Watch .
In the fourth quarter of fiscal 2022, Apple released the iPhone 14 series, the Apple Watch Series 8, the second-generation Apple Watch SE, the new durable Apple Watch Ultra, and the second-generation AirPods Pro.
According to sources, sales of the iPhone 14 in the Chinese market did not get off to a smooth start, down about 11 percent from comparable sales of the iPhone 13 last year. Demand for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is currently higher than the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max, so Apple has asked suppliers to adjust production lines and shift some production capacity to higher-end models. After adjustment, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max shipments accounted for 60% to 65% of the iPhone 14 series, with the iPhone 14 Pro Max accounting for a higher proportion than the iPhone 14 Pro.
In contrast, in the fourth quarter of 2021, Apple’s total net income was US$83.360 billion, a year-on-year increase of 29%; net profit was US$20.551 billion, an increase of 62% compared to the same period last year; revenue in Greater China was US$14.563 billion, compared with the same period last year. It was an 83% increase in the same period last year.
