  1. Ryujinx and Panda3DS is still a thing, Nintendo had every right to sue Yuzu with the evidence that leaked, emulation is becoming more secure and legal than ever thanks to this settlement and the community is able to strike back against companies like Nintendo harder than ever due to this settlement as well. Get tf over it

  2. Shit tendo, we don’t want people playing our old classic games we rather just remake you the originals and sell them to you at a much higher price than the original.

Sega, let’s revitalize some of our unused franchises and do you want to emulate our old classic games? Go ahead.

  3. The company behind Yuzu has been found to be pretty shady after the lawsuit, so it was probably a blessing in disguise, but still fuck nintendo.

  4. nintendo also attack fan games that make money, when its near a important game that connect top their new game, take pokemon uranium, because of its new regional form, that could be the reason why nintendo strike that along with them making money out of it. since gen 7 started the regional forms, but uranium started it before

  5. wow this is the first ever video i ever watched that this dude explain something clearly and precisely much respect and huge improvement in his approach…

  6. I'm willing to bet that Nintendo hired these guys. If they want the Switch 2 to be backwardly compatable with the Switch, all the Switch software tools like CFW and emulators are the building blocks for cracking the Switch 2's system the way that ntrboot sprung from the 3DS having NDS compatability. Furthermore, Citra wasn't part of the suit, but if the Switch 2 Online eventually adds 3DS games to sweeten the pot for customers buying in to it, they're going to need a robust emulator in order to do that.

That agreement came really fast and wasn't even officially arbitrated. That $2.4 million thing was between the Citra Team and Nintendo and there doesn't have to be any official receipts for it. Citra Nightly and Yuzu were both updated right until the agreement was reached. There wasn't even a pause in development. It's a Hell of a course correction in the matter of less than a day.

  7. I use my pc for steam mostly. As for pc gamepass, i play smaller titles there and bigger ones on console. Also, it just depends on how im feeling. I like having the options to play anywhere

  8. Yuzu developers should never be able to hold a job ever again, those spineless cowards have done so much damage with their instant capitulation.

  9. backup copies only work for computer software not Nintendo games that are copyright protected and Nintendo own it's IP

Nintendo Giant now, movies, theme parks, games and Lego etc

you want to use Nintendo products you got to get permission

    kids wake up

  10. As a Nintendo fan I think this is horrible but their mistake was charging for yuzu. Any time you charge for something like this you open yourself up; especially when it’s a current console

  11. It was the same for the Black Ops 3 pc client. The client was made to fix the hacking and performance problems while providing access to the dlc. The problem was they wanted people to pay for that client AND they promoted people to pirate the game as well as the dlc's

  12. Yuzu emulating Switch games when the console was still a thing? Yeah they were daring Nintendo to come after them. Especially when they were doing it behind a paywall. Yuzu messed with Nintendo's money…big mistake.

The 3DS emulator, on the other hand, was the biggest victim of all this. Preserve the 3DS gaming library. That handheld had so many great titles to be lost forever.

  13. "Once it's on the internet you can't stop it"
Well there's just a teeny tiny problem with your idea there.

If you don't paywall the emulator, or the updates, that means developers aren't getting paid, and who's going to build your damn app and update the thing. Nintendo's strategy is pretty damn clear: as soon as you get paid for our games, we shut your ass down.

Congrats guys, a variant of Yuzu exists but… no one's working on it, so best of luck with future games and all those frames. golf clap Same thing for all other free emulators.

  14. Stopping something "illegal" is like throwing water on a Gremlin. It will multiply instead.
Same with banned movies in the past. If it's banned, it will attract more viewers…
And how many TPB clone sites exist in 2024 after it were taken down 15 years ago or something?

  15. Hum … You do know that the switch is still the current nintendo platform right? Of course they woud shut down switch emulation its theft if it was super nintendo or nintendo 64 emulator i woud be bother since you cant buy these games anymore im all for emulation of old games you cant buy anymore but for current gen games emulation is just theft its commun sense

  16. As long as the creators of an emulator do it out of love for art and for the real objective of preserving software there will be no problem, when you profit from it and specially how Yuzu did then you are going to be in trouble.

  17. So here's my thing to you people who are justifying theft who don't seem to grasp common sense that you're just not entitled to someone's property despite however you try to justify it. I mean if I broke into your house and walked out of your house with your TV because in my mind you have a TV and I don't and even though I had the money to go out and buy my own TV I felt like I should have your TV more. That's the same thing you idiots are doing. And if you're okay with theft if you're perfectly okay justifying stealing someone's hard-earned property. Where's the damn line? If you're okay with that you should just be okay with giving your stuff away if you're okay with that you should be okay with people going in your house and stealing your stuff because it's the same fucking thing. There's no argument here theft is theft. If you can just steal someone's hard-earned property and that be okay and that be justifiable then it's also justifiable for someone to come in your house and steal your stuff.

  18. people forget the main reason yuzu devs forlded was because they were doing shady illigalstuff in the background with leaked roms they shouldnt of had

  19. You got the iq of a toe if you're still buying nintendo products even before this, I've hacked my switch and haven't payed for nintendo related software since 2020

  20. Nintendo they have done it before, this whole emulation and piracy being took down by them, probably do it again in the future but no fret its not just Yuzu as we call it the victim of it but unfortunately Citra died and cant get that back elsewhere, sucks really.

  21. Listening to this, i know that nintendo was aiming to get their hands on the emulator so that THEY could use it instead when they sell their shitty re-releases like they did with ocarina of time.

So much for that "emulators bad" argument

  22. It’s not the money but Nintendo can use that in court it’s the only thing they could get Yuzu on. This was because Zelda is Nintendos baby. They spent 7yrs making that game and Yuzu had it playing better on a calculator than it could play on a switch pre-release. Why haven’t we heard about ToTK’s leaker. That’s who Nintendo should have gone after but apparently they can’t figure it out.

  23. Crazy how no matter how shitty Nintendo behaves they just stay winning and people just keep giving them money. And every time the Hydra grows a new head it's more potential money for Nintendo. Wild.

They don't want to stamp out emulation, they just wanna keep making money from it.
