In today’s video, I am going to show you how to Unjailbreak (remove) the #Unc0ver #Jailbreak on #iOS 12.0 all the way up to iOS 12.1.2 and start fresh. This is very useful if you have major Cydia errors that cannot seem to be fixed with anything, you have way too many tweaks and want to start fresh, or you are using applications that employ Jailbreak detection techniques and won’t allow you to use them. The unjailbreak procedure is built into Unc0ver Jailbreak and should not remove any personal data (though a backup with iTunes and iCloud is advised). Upon cleanup, the device will act like its never been jailbroken before. Of course, after that, you can Jailbreak again and you’d end up with a fresh Unc0ver Jailbreak with no tweaks, themes or temporary jailbreaks installed.
A cardinal rule for keeping your jailbreak safe is to never use the “Erase all contents and settings” function on the Settings application. Using that would result in a ton of leftovers from the jailbreak that hasn’t been properly removed. After running the procedure in this video, if you wanna run the “Erase all contents and settings” feature, you’ll be able to safely do so as Unc0ver Jailbreak would have been properly removed at that point. Please do, however, keep in mind that running the “Erase all contents and settings” on Settings will remove everything, including your personal data from the device, so if you wanna do it, make a backup first. Running “Erase all contents and settings” is not necessary to unjailbreak with Unc0ver.
