Steps:

Step #1 In the boot grub menu select option to edit type “e”

Step #2 Go to the line of Linux 16 and change ro with rd.break

Step #3 Press Control+x to start the system in single user mode

Step #4 Remount File system with read/ write (RW) permissions
mount -o remount,rw

Step # 5 Access the system with this command
chroot /sysroot

Step #6 Reset the password with command
passwd root

Step #7 Update selinux information
touch /.autorelabel

Step #8 Exit chroot
exit

Step #9 Reboot your system
exit
