Sometimes it’s worth buying the newest version of a product, others times you’re better off buying last year’s version at a lower price. After 12 months of using the M1 Pro MacBook Pro 14” as my main machine, I can tell you this is one of those times. Yes the M2 Pro MacBook Pro was just announced but the M2 Pro vs M1 Pro is a small upgrade. Nothing like the monumental leap that the M1 Pro MacBook Pro was compared to its Intel counterparts. Even better, now that the M2 Pro is out, you can get the M1 Pro at an even better price. The M1 Pro features a stunning new design, a wide range of port, powerful M1 Pro chip and 120hz ProMotion display – this is a very compelling all-round laptop. Today I’m going to share my long-term review and experience with the M1 Pro and tell you why I think this is a fantastic machine to buy in 2023. For some the slightly increased performance of the new M2 Pro will be worth spending the extra money on. But for most, I can highly recommend the M1 Pro MacBook Pro. As it delivers in all key areas, high quality design, incredible display, long battery life and still amazing performance – now at even better prices. Trust me, you won’t regret this purchase!
