Apple will kill Facebook – Tim Cook’s Apple is coming for Zuckerberg’s metaverse

Apple Reality Pro: Everything You Need to Know. Apple’s releasing a mixed-reality headset this year. Let’s talk about what it is and why I think it’s Apple’s riskiest move since Steve Jobs announced the iPhone. Apple VR Release Date and Price – Coming at WWDC 2023? Is Apple planning a VR Announcement at WWDC 2023? Will we FINALLY see the NEW Apple VR Headset? Today I want to share everything we know about the New Mixed Reality headset with its features and of course the Apple VR Release Date and Price!

Reportedly, the Apple VR headset will compete with Meta and Microsoft’s offerings, but with better optimizations and features that could push the device even further, possibly at a higher price point. The company is said to be working on a lightweight and durable headset, with a body made of aluminum, glass, and cushions, similar to the design of its AirPods Max headphones.

One of the most significant advantages of the Apple’s VR headset could be its weight. The headset is rumored to weigh as little as 150 grams, half the weight of many competing devices, thanks to the use of lightweight fabric instead of heavy plastic in the frame.

The device is said to have two or three high-resolution 4K micro-OLED displays, resulting in an 8K full resolution with up to 3,000 pixels per inch. The micro-OLED displays are thinner, smaller, and more power-efficient than standard OLED panels, making them ideal for AR and VR applications. The headset will also include an outer external display, which will show the facial expressions of the headset’s wearer to the people around them, reducing the sense of isolation felt when using the device.

The Reality Pro is expected to have over a dozen optical cameras for tracking hand movements, mapping the environment, capturing facial features and body movements, and projecting visual experiences. Eye and hand tracking will be the main control method for the headset, with cameras monitoring the eyes and hands. The headset can be controlled by looking at an on-screen item to select it, then using a hand gesture like a pinch to activate the item on the screen.

The Apple VR headset will integrate an iris scanner that can read the pattern of the user’s eye, allowing an iris scan to be used instead of a password and for payment authentication. The headset will also employ short and long-range LiDAR scanners to accurately map surfaces, edges, and dimensions of rooms.

Apple’s (AAPL) next major product, an AR/VR headset, is expected to be unveiled at its WWDC event in June. And that puts the company and CEO Tim Cook on a direct collision course with market leader Meta.

In an interview with GQ, Cook lays out his vision for an AR/VR device and how it could help consumers. And, likely to the chagrin of Meta (META) CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Cook says the gadget could “greatly enhance people’s communication, people’s connection.”
