  1. This is so obviously a great idea.
But meta doesn't want to acknowledge the benefits of eye tracking.
I guess having a bad history with personal information no doubt they figured they'd get roasted if they instituted it.
I wonder whether now that Apple has it whether they might "cave" to demands for it?

  2. I feel like the "eyetracking to highlight icons" concept is the main sensible part to this, pinching lacks tactic feedback so I'd rather use a controller to click what I want whilst highlighting things with my eyes. That or some haptic glove mechanism

  3. Man I really wish there would be a Quest Pro with updated visuals coming out with the Quest 3 🙁
Or… A Quest 3 with eye tarcking, for >$1000 of course.

  4. You said you haven't been using your eye and facetracking, are you aware you could be using it in VRChat this whole time? We have VRCFT for that matter, only caviat is that I believe VD (which I assume you use) don't transmit those tracking datas, however AirLink and ALVR does.

  5. I work in disability, and if you could use eye tracking for selecting, and then face tracking, such as touching lips together for selecting that would be game changing for a lot of the paralysed people wanting ways to interact with computers

  6. Thanks for the video. I truly hope Meta will use the Quest Pro to test and improve the eye-navigation. Their next headset after the Vision Pro has to prove they are still in race.

  7. Next step on this UI-path could be to wink instead of pinching. Like right-wink to select and left-wink to go back. Completely handsfree.

  8. When I saw the title I thought you were gonna talk about Thrill's app. Didn't know other people were attempting the same concept, pretty cool. As for you thinking you're just not cut out for development…maybe you'd do better with a team, even a small one, handling different aspects. Developing an entire game or app on your own can definitely be a daunting task, so I can see where you're coming from.

  9. I've tried the one that thrillseeker made and just saw the new one today and already downloaded the APK I have not had a chance to try it out yet. There is definitely something magical about moving a video feed with just your eyes and your fingers.
