  1. Hey, @Mr. Macintosh! Thanks for the details, It was very helpful. I had installed Monterey on my iMAC 2011 and it was working perfectly using OCL 0.6.8. Then Ventura update came and I updated it and installed all the suggested patches on the system as well. After that, i did couple of restarts and then the Bluetooth issue started coming up. The System Information app is not showing Bluetooth device at all.

It would be great if you can provide some guidance here.

  2. I'm successfully running Ventura (installed via OCLP) from an external SSD. The internal one is no longer recognized. So far everything works fine except for the fact that the computer no longer recognizes any other external drives I plug in. it only seems to see the SSD it boots from.
Anyone knows if Is this a known issue? Thanks!

  3. Is there a trick to using the migration assistant on a oclp build I can't get the system to work after the device restarts the computer does not boot to the login windows just keeps rebooting

  4. My MBP 2011 has HD replaced by SSD and after updated OCLP 0.6.8 it has a black screen as warned 😭. For some reason, it failed -uw to unmount the startup drive. It either responded a wrong file type / format or other error. The external USB Thumb drive also hit an unknown problem and thus unable to install OCLP and macOS 13.5 installer on it. Perhaps I wait for the next versions or the Sonoma.

  5. works fine!! macbook pro mid 2009 core2duo , updated from 13.4.1, first updated oclp to 0.6.8 then updated to os 13.5 (12GB). long process, requires usb hub to apply final patches.

  6. Hi MM, there are 2 of us that the recovery is not working, getting error messages about read only file system. Could you please advise what else we need to do?

( I'm using an early 2014 MBA, the other user is robsonfirmino8297, from 5 days ago)

  7. I'm using mid 2012 (9,1) MacBook Pro … Not waking up after 30-40 minutes sleep.
    OCLP Updated 6.8
    Otherwise everything working great

    Developers can use…
    I submitted an app 🙂

  8. Hi @mr.Macintosh how do i check if my imac 2011 is metal or not, to install Ventura 13.5? I don’t have the usual
Graphic cards, i have a flashed one 😬…. Is there a way to check if i Could encounter problems beforehand?

  9. Very slow start up on my 2011 MBP 13", about 2 min flat, after the latest OCLP v0.6.8 and OS 12.6.8 updates. I DOES start up and run normally. It was more noticeable after the OS update than the OCLP update. I compare that to my 2012 MBA 11" at 35 sec start up. Both running the same OS and OCLPs, of course different hardware specs. Any thoughts out there?

  10. Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, I just updated to the latest OCLP and I now have two aliases in my applications folder. What is the correct procedure to fix this? Thanks

  11. Late 2015 Intel macOS Ventura was running went to infinite loop. Tried new installation 3x from usb with new installer. Erase disk and can’t install gives installation error at 13 minutes.the same error trying 0x509 I think

  12. I have a metal iMac 15,1 that I erased a test volume and installed the latest beta of macOS 14 Sonoma. When the setup assistant asked how I was to connect to the internet, the wifi was disabled as a choice. Do you have any suggestions on how to re-enable the wifi?

  13. I am very sad. updated to 13.5. The battery has become worse by 30-40 percent. I bought a laptop a month ago. Before the update, the charge was excellent. battery status 100 percent

  14. I've done the same upgrade OS13.5 with OCLP 0.6.8 on my macbook pro 2011 2.2GHZ 17 inch and it is now useless….it simply barely moves graphics freeze, websites and windows dragging it is unbearable. I erased the SSD drive…restarted the processus 3 times OCLP0.6.8 + 13.5 and get the same results….nothing works…it simply forced me back to High Sierra from something running smooth under MACOS 13.4.1 with OCLP 0.6.7….NOT HAPPY AT ALL😪 UPDATE: The Macbook is not working well/useless with any OS installed via OCLP 0.6.8… it runs the same way with Monterey now….a snail, practically useless even for typing, forget about opening a webpage. Sadly, OCLP 0.6.8 ruined my Macbook Pro…..I won't suggest it to anyone with an 2011 Macbook Pro 15 or 17 inch.

  15. Thanks for this, great guidance. A couple of things: I had OCLP with 13.5 on my MBA 6,2 and experienced regular idle hangs. I don't use Photos so I don't think it was that. I am regressing to Monterey with 0.6.8 on the same machine to see if that fixes it. I also tried 13.5 with 0.6.8 on a mini 7,1. Could never install the Haswell post install patch ( I have posted on the Discord about this). Was all fine otherwise except had a power outage (car v power pole close to where we live) which seems to have fried the EFI on the disk (I have surge protection but it's never perfect). I am reinstalling Monterey on a reformatted disk (native, no OCLP) to see if that machine behaves before I do anything to it with patcher. Anyone with any comments or suggestions all constructive in put gratefully received.

  16. Hi Mr. Macintosh. Now OpenCore Patcher 0.6.8 is working well with Ventura 13.5 in Mac Pro Mid 2010 with AMD Radeon RX 580 8 GB, or still black screen after update both? I'm keeping yet v0.6.5 and Ventura 13.4.

  17. .I have a 27” iMac 12,2 and everything works fine for me. I just don’t where my movies went that was in iTunes. I did the OCLP and it said it was Ventura 13..0 a few days ago but when I checked today it now says Ventura 13.5

  18. With the release of OpenCore Legacy Patcher 0.6.8, many more bug fixes and improvements are here!

Integration of AMFIPass for root-patched machines
Allowing Library Validation and AMFI to be fully enabled, for greatly enhanced security
*Resolve macOS 13.5 support on 2011 Macs with Intel HD3000 graphics*
Additionally resolves Display Profile support for these units!
Allow Aquantia 10Gbe Network Card support on pre-Ivy bridge Macs in Monterey and newer

  19. Just upgraded to OCLP 0.6.8 and I was able to move successfully to Ventura 13.5 on my MBP 2011 with HD3000 graphics. No issue at all !
Thank you Mr Macintosh for your update #2 info and thank you to the entire OCLP team.

  20. Hey Mr. Macintosh. Thanks for your never ending hard work. I have a question, Im on a 14 inch m1 pro and still on Monterey. Thinking of updating to the latest OS ventura but not sure if I should. Do you recommend this? Does ventura run better ? Any other info is appreciated to. Thanks again for your precious time!

  21. 2015 macbook air, 13.4.1(c) trying to go to 13.5… freezing up at the progress bar, tried to reboot and hold the option key to get to the boot menu and when I click on the efi boot icon it goes back to the progress bar, no recover option. luckily this just a test computer, but am I looking at a complete do over from monterey??

  22. i did something wrong maybe that now opencore patcher keeps asking me for installing root patches after installing them and rebooting. How can i solve this? (i pasted and substituted the latest opencore patcher into the applications folder) I'm on Big Sur with iMac 27 2011

  23. I have a mid year 2011imac which was running Ventura perfectly with the oclp before i hit the update to Ventura 13.5. then tried 3 times but only came up w black screen! Went back to 13.4.1 and will wait for the kinks to get ironed out on the 2011 macs. Thanks so much for your helpful videos. I was a little trigger happy when i saw the update n didn't realize it was fresh out!

  24. Hi Mr Macintosh, thank you for all your fantastic work with OCLP and older Macs. Will Ventura (via OCLP) on my mid-2010 5,1 MacPro with AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB metal GPU ever be possible? Many thanks. Keith

  25. Thanks Mr. Macintosh, great post. I have a 2011 iMac 27 , 12,2 with a AMD 6970 1024mb, I was using Monterey up to 12.6.4 and it was running fine, but when I upgraded past that I have been getting to 1/3 of the progress bar then black screen. I tried re-installing older os s and older OCP but still same problem. I saw new OCP so I tried installing fresh install of OS13.5 with OCP 0.6.8 still the same problem, but your method worked at least I can see the screen now without patches.
