  1. The USB- C-Port has mechanical issues and will be more often defective, it means with USB-C we destroy our world faster, because I have to scrap my phone earlier as millions of others 😮

  2. European standards and Android user bitching aside, the tired arguement re lack of innovation in Apples part is hogwash. As an android user myself (btw Samsung beats the pants of Google Pixel – I own both) Im looking forward to returning to the IOS fold and buying a shiny new iPhone 15 Pro for commercial production. Being able to offload Prores log footage in seconds without the need for an awkward gimbal or carry a big bag of lens or batteries means I'll save a ton of money in time, space and energy. As Doc Brown says "its a portable television studio" and thats far better than a foldable, flippable phone screen and an ability for your cat to take selfies. I think thats pretty progressive.

  3. Apple are just using the switch to USB-C as a marketing tactic to sell more phones. People that don’t care about owning the newest model will want to get the iPhone 15 simply to get rid of their Lightning cables, like the woman in this video…

  4. Although I agree with points from both sides (Apple and the EU) – I think the right call is to move towards USB-C on iPhones. People can recycle their old cords if they get a 15. In a few years, hopefully we don’t have to carry around 3 different types of charger cords in our cars for all of our friends, everyone will need the same port.

  5. Oh, what a groundbreaking move by Apple! They've finally decided to embrace USB-C, a technology that the rest of the world adopted years ago. It's not like they were dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century by the pressure from everyone else. And their marketing? Pure genius! They make it sound like they've discovered fire when, in reality, they're just catching up.
And don't get me started on the headphone jack. Who needs it, right? Apple knows what's best for its users, and that means making them buy even more accessories and spend more money. Who cares about convenience and choice? It's all about maximizing profits, and we should applaud them. Sure, wireless is the future, but let's remember that these devices are still just PHONES. Who needs to use them as intended when you can spend a small fortune on extra gadgets? Thanks, Apple, for always looking out for our wallets!

  6. Okay seriously, who writes Joanna’s scripts? Joanna herself or someone at the studio, whoever it is they deserve a raise for the humour element alone. 🤣

  7. You forgot to mention that apple added id to usb-c standard, so cables and charger can be identified as genuine apple products enable for fast charge on their new iphones.

  8. Apple tried to release a portless iphone but that would have been in breach of the EU usb-c requirement and they were told by the EU that they would nor be able to be sold in the EU due to non compliance

  9. Who’s the nasty host of this show? First, she doesn’t understand data transfer speed advantages of ports or accessibility advantages . Second, wireless charging is a misnomer, it still requires a wire…

  10. This is the best news for the smartphone industry. Finally, all commonly used devices at home (smartphones, tablets, Laptops and related devices) will use one universal port standard. Thank you EU for saving the EU and the rest of the world.

  11. Wait. Give a sec. while I gush for such an unremarkable change. What in the F. People are truly sheep😅 Apple is literally the douchiest company in existence.

  12. I’m glad that all Apple iPhones have usbc charging port this year. But many people are still going to need a lightning cord to charge AirPods 2 and AirPods 3, plus they will need a lightning cord to charge Apple TV remotes, Apple Magic Keyboard, and Apple Track pad. Don’t be in too much of a hurry to get rid of your lightning cords.
