  2. Just finished and I have to say I’m super glad I bought the M2 iPad Pro! This is incredible!!

    Ofc my M2 Max MBP will destroy it but that’s not the point. They’re two totally different devices. I’m probably not taking the 16” 4.7 lb MBP with me on short road trips due to its weight (yes, I know it’s lighter than flagship PCs but it’s still pretty heavy) whereas the iPad Pro is my go-to for that.

  4. If you want a portable device to run Resolve then get a Macbook Air (or Pro), Surface, etc. There is no Edit tab, which is where most of us spend 80% of our time. More importantly, there hasn't been any kind of statement of direction or press release from Blackmagic Design since before the first version was released. There isn't even a help file–nothing! The only source of information is the Apple App Store, where we can read about the bug fixes. Why should we bet on the iPad version ever being anything more than a watered down version of Resolve? In my opinion Resolve for iPad is 100% hype, and paying for the Studio version is a waste of money. Lumafusion is still the best choice for editing video on iPad…from a long-time user of Resolve on Windows.

  6. I have the M2 coming tomorrow and this is exciting! BUT, you aren't going to be able to CHARGE & PLUG IN AN HDD are you??? Surely this will drain the battery fast? Is there and adapter that could potentially do both I wonder?

  21. Whats the point in color grading on a pad if an ipad is not as good as a color corrected screen for foto and video editing? I mean ipad colors are not color corrected, the results cant be used on paid work.

  23. It looks like BM is taking advantage of this app to rewrite DR. Hopefully they will implement full unit testing. I hope this foreshadows DR just getting better and better on all platforms.
