Why the 2018 iPad Pro is still worth it!

The 2018 iPad Pro was so far ahead of its time, that even 5 years later it is still a beast. I wanted to do a quick overview of the 2018 iPad Pro and show you why it can still be your main iPad!

  1. After seeing this video I decided to by a iPad Pro 11” 2018 model. It really is amazing! The screen amazing. I’m using for non gaming applications and the thing tackles them with easy. It a great device to have next to my iPhone 14 pro which dies in the evening. Plus watching on a greater stream makes me tend to use my iPhone less when I’m around the house. Thanks for this video 🤝

  2. i have been using my 2018 ipad pro and was still surprised at how well it is holding up, only had some issues with lagging but it was fixed with the new updates. dont think ill be updating to newer ipad os in the future as the battery has been draining faster over time lol

  3. I still use my 2018 11" iPad Pro with Apple Pencil (second gen). When I first got it, I barely used it. But ever since I started graduate school, I've been using it almost everyday. I use it for note taking, reading textbooks, watching lecture videos, and keeping handouts and stuff all organized in one place. I haven't been in school for 20 years and we didn't have something like an iPad back then. Using the iPad for school related things has been a total game changer for me.

  4. I haven't owned alot of apple products but it is safe to say this 2018 ipad pro is the best apple device ive had in terms of how well it aged 5 years on. Never did I regret getting it instead of a laptop. I initially planned to keep it for 3 years but the ipad pro line hasn't really had a major update since 2018 in terms of design and overall functionality, so I ended up keeping it for almost 5 yrs now. I think it needs a new battery and keep going for another 3-5 years 😂

  5. I like your videos but you don’t come across as knowledgable as some other reviewers. You make mistakes on a regular basis. I even know the ppi for the Pro and you don’t.

  6. I love the size and the use I get out of it is exactly what it was intended for https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA . I use it mostly for taking notes in school and studying and it for the most part has replaced all my note-taking on actual paper. However, the screen is not as bright as I'd like. The lights in my class are super bright and I have to adjust my angles often just to see what I'm reading/writing on the screen. It could be my eyes, but I think a brighter screen would still help. Also there is no mute switch. This might not be an issue for most people but for me, this being my first ipad and being an iphone user, I'm so used to having it there. Everyone can hear when I'm typing with it in the library (probably just me overthinking) but I'm sure I can adjust that in the settings. Just kinda inconvenient. Other than that, I really enjoy it overall

  7. Me too, still works well for daily non-heaving-editing usages. Reading news/magazine, handwriting notes, 2nd monitor for MacBook Air… etc. Hope soon there will be 12.9+ inch non-pro iPad, like 15-inch MacBook Air, cuz I just need letter/A4 size screen, no need powerful computation or camera.

  8. I have the 12.9“ – 2018 iPad. The USB C failed in communicating audio and midi signals. I even had the port replaced because it wouldn’t charge. I still love the iPad and use it as a ForScore display, videos reading books etc. I wish Apple would provide opportunity to arrange repairs.

  9. I bought my 12.9 when it first came out and still use it daily. I am so pleased with the capabilities of this. I love it with the Magic Keyboard. Apple made a phenomenal product. I may look at the M3 version next year. All the best, keep up the great videos. 🐬

  10. Goodness his videos are hard to watch. Miss the old 9to5mac videos. Thought after two years almost he’d get the hang of making “accurate” videos with actual substance but guess this is what we get these days.

  11. I just bought my 12.9 inch 5th Gen iPad pro with keyboard and pencil for $850.00 in like new condition. Im really happy with it, was debating on keeping my 2018 iPad pro that I bought for 250 but ended up selling it for $500.00. Thank you for this video

  12. Totally agree with the video. I have 2018 11 inch iPad Pro and recently got a 12.9 M2 iPad Pro. Apart from the screen and all the Apple Pencil new features I can hardly tell the difference in speed in the tasks that I use it for. Still a great machine. 🐬
