It’s a bad time to buy a Mac

Well folks it’s happening again, it’s that time of year when the existing Mac lineup is complete and we’re now waiting on Apple’s next generation! And with the completion of the M2 lineup, from the new 15 inch MacBook Air to the M2 Max MacBook Pro all the way to the high end M2 Ultra Mac Studio, many are looking ahead; what’s next? And should I avoid buying a new Mac until something new comes out? Well, if you’re shopping for a new Mac for college, a cheap used Mac, or a powerful workstation Mac for video editing, you might not have that choice. Today I’ll explain why this logic is flawed and show that now is a perfectly good time to buy a Mac!

  3. well said man, what rumours said from what i seen is 2 things, m3 imac and macbook, pro macbooks with pro and max( i hightly doubt it as you said not even m3 came out why should pro. and max come so soon), i recently brought imac 24 with upg ram like 4-5 months of use with m1, day to day it is a perfect experience except power hungry apps i managed to crash it couple of times because im a hungry user and i didnt push it as hard as my previous windows machine its just that apps are very ram hungry and m1 is not powerfull enough, if this pro and max comes i was debating if i sell my device to reduce the cost for next macbook pro, my plot was to buy it in 2024 on release day.

  4. I’m a power user and I really wanted an upgraded 14” M2 Max, but I couldn’t bring myself to spend $4000. I found a maxed out M2 MacBook Air on eBay for $1700 with 24 GB and 2 TB SSD (for editing video). $700 off retail price! So far I’m very happy with it. When the M3 Max is released I can sell it with minimal depreciation if I get buyer’s remorse, but so far I think I’ll hold onto it.

  6. Whats the best mac to buy right now for a college student? Ill be in school the next few years..juat need it for writing , power points, nursing stuff etc, wont be playing games, just youtube and movies , thank you. Gave this video a like

  10. New MacBooks in spring 2024 you mean? ww3 coming…. F it …. I got the m2 pro 14” now lol This waiting game is dumb…. Just buy if you need it

  11. I feel like the could change the Mac mini to be massively more compact.
    Maybeeeeee even with a small fan that constantly spins at a level that cant be heard.

  14. And here we are almost into November 2023 and the M3 is still only a dream. I bought the Mac air with the M1 for $729 at Costco with a two-year warranty included. No dream reality.

  22. My 16’’MBPro M1Max 32/4 will last YEARS, as well as my 13’’MBAir M2 24/2 on the go. Let’s see in 6-8y…
    Meanwhile I prefer to pay for my health, individual boxing coach 🥊

  23. For me it's pretty simple, if you need a computer, get a computer, if you don't, then you can wait.

    I am starting college next year and that's when I plan to get a new laptop, so I don't plan on buying til the M3 Pros come out
