Nothing announced is any reason to update this year. iPhone 15 is a slight incremental upgrade and the Ultra is the same. Just Apple rolling out minor shit for the masses to waste money on.
I'll stick with all of last years crap for another year or two.
Just a brand
I have the Watch Ultra 1 and only use it to workout not much of a difference for me to upgrade. It is a good watch but I am hoping they add more health features like the blood glucose monitor on the next one. Excited to see what Ultra 3 will bring. I will get some new bands though.
Happy with what I got, I got the beta update a few weeks ago and had a chance to try out a few new features. When wOS came out a couple of days ago I was happy to have the new watch face on my original Ultra. If Ultra 2 was black I’d sell mine for it 🤦♂️ but not gonna blow cash on a “recycled” watch. Might have to grab one of those blue alpine loops though. They look awesome!!!
Without blood pressure monitors it's just a piece of outdated cr@p. Also nothing changed in water temperature measurements. Isn't it ass when you're in the middle of workout and there is no way to see water temperature and monitor your heartrate? Absolutely lame products this year, who needs that faster wrist CPU🤬🤬🤬
Minor iterative updates being called new generations is dumb.

Maybe they should have introduced some colors. Nothing new so I wont be upgrading!
I'm a little disappointed that they didn't introduce a slightly smaller size.
I bought the ultra about 2 months ago, was hesitant because I knew something new was coming within a few months. Glad I didn't wait, nothing really changed enough to justify a new one versus gen 2 for me personally.
What’s funny is they never spoke about the new operating systems and when they would be released, and what features would work with the previous generations of Watches and iPhones??? Strange???
I have the original ultra and won’t even consider getting the 2, hardly an upgrade. 2000 nits is more than bright in direct sunlight.
I have to say. This was the most disappointing Apple event I have ever seen. They seemed to want to spend more time on carbon footprints. Than coming up with more innovative upgrades. Perhaps they should stop playing politics, and get back to what Apple does best. Produce new and exciting products.

👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 ultra one it’s better … I’m a welder and this is the first watch that take everything.. I believe is because of the titanium case.. now the ultra 2. Really 😒 recycle material.. it doesn’t matter how they want to sugar code by talking about environment bla bla bla saving the planet… but they use cobal from ilegal mines 😒😒 anyway.. ultra 2 is garbage
