Puget Systems benchmarks
#M1X #11950H #5900HX
Cool content. Great video
Please test the charging speed between the 67w and 96w chargers of the 10 core cpu 16 core gpu m1 pro and the 32 core gpu m1 max in the 14 inch models under a heavy cpu and gpu load. Does the 67w charger even supply enough power to charge these Macs while under load? A performance comparison between the 32 core gpu m1 max 14 inch and 16 inch. Is the 14 inch capped at a lower TDP? Can it cool the m1 max as well as the 16 inch? Also a size comparison between the chargers would be nice 🙂
I thought you were speaking dutch for the first 5 seconds 😂
Be great to see you do the real world tests, heavy duty multi tasking, rendering etc to see how the graphics performance in particular compares. Can’t wait – really excited! My only problem is whether I wait for your review before I press the buy button! Demand will exceed supply for the first 6 months I think.
Tally Ho! TDP doesn't matter! Old hardwares had much higher TDP. Correct it next time and improve.
What matters is what architecture it is and what do we know about it. If same architecture gets double the core you can expect double the performance given your application utilizes every core.
Woof.
The same can be done by MediaTek as soon as we have OS for ARM. Something like Linux, but with mass acceptance. Than we can have 300€ laptops with the same speed.
I feel like apple 13 inch macbook pro's become pro for the very first time with M1
Bye windows forever. Gonna switch to macOS when they release the new Macbook pro. Can't wait.
The best part about m1 is that you get the same performance irrespective of being plugged in or running on battery power.
You and a few other creators (Tailosive Tech Drew, for instance) are under the impression that the M1X will be getting CPU and/or GPU cores from the A15, rather from the A14/M1 generation. It would be nice. I hope you are right, more for the increased efficiency than the speed, but I'd be astonished. Even with the M1 family of chips, however, the M1X should easily out-perform my old PC with its GTX 980Ti GPU and may be a match for the beefiest intel MacBook available, even before looking at its lower thirst for juice.
People who want magsafe are either stupid or never seen an USB-C magnetic connector on amazon for 15 bucks.
SD card slots aren’t gonna be there. Those slots gets dirty and stops working after a while.
Little this guy realises the M1X will destroy all of the CPU’s on the market, I can tell you now a 11800h OC isn’t beating a M1X 😂
None of this is true guys as the processor isn’t even released
Gross
I would be shocked if they used the M1X name for a system with A15 cores.
The A15 focused on power efficiency, the reason to do that is to allow more cores without increasing the TDP too much.
It's possible we will get "M1X" but an M2 and M2X seems more likely.
The single core score should increase similar to the A14->A15, I would expect. But with less TDP restrictions and more available power it probably should come close to 2000 in Geekbench single core score.
A base model M2 should be a nice bump over M1 with all the benefits of a A14 to A15 transition meaning more performance and battery life with a bigger GPU for a hefty gaming bump. An M2X is going to be beastly. And right now is only "mythical" until we have more detailed leaks. But if they add more performance cores, it will be the king of the hill.
And they still have ugly fat bezels
Hello Mr. Tally. "Should be announced any minute?". Would this not be preceded by (1) the usual invitation to an online life streaming event, then (2) the presentation itself and some time after that (3) another lengthy period before one can order and only then (4) an estimate on when the computer would arrive at one's doorstep? Ideally, there should also be some media footage of disciples pitching tents outside their favourite Apple place of worship a few days before the retail release date and finally the first customers walking through a tunnel of wildly applauding apple retail employees. It would not be Apple if these steps are not religiously followed. They can't just suddenly release a product without all of that fanfare.
I feel like I'm finally getting a Mac to compare to all the PCs. Exciting times!!
“It’s down to the titty-pee” (tdp)
As a Canadian, i just come here for your accent. And cuz i love your channel. Good job!
both alderlake mobile and ryzen V3D will bulldoze this again tho, pretty crappy since macOs is very limited
What if apple comes with high power mode where you connect the charger and get even 4x time m1 performance 🥵
Never owned a Mac in my life but truly exciting to see what they do with the M1X.
Also excited about M2 next year. Must be time to implement ARMV9 by then and curious to see what that means for future Mac Cilicone
Look even if all these leaked benchmarks somehow turnout to be true M1X is still behind both intel and amd and let me tell you why.
You are comparing an upcoming M1X which probably won't go on sale before 2022 to intel and amd CPUs that came out almost a year ago.
Both intel and amd are announcing their next gen mobile chips by the end of this year which are going to have a totally new architecture and core design featuring E-Cores for more efficiency, almost double the cache and higher base and turbo clockspeeds there is even leaked fully manufactured prototype laptops featuring intel CPUs already so there is a good chance these leakes are legit.
I'd say when M1X comes out it is going to be at least 20% slower than both amd and intel with roughly similar power consumption.
Excited to see these drop. Looking hard at them to replace my Alienware r3 15” for video and picture editing.
I am hoping to see your hands on Alder lake laptop cpus soon…
Seeing the mac next to the dell and the infinity display is kinda sad
I wouldn't trust CPU Monkey – until a little while ago they were claiming 8 P-cores and 4 E-cores (which is what the original M1x rumors were).
Someone must've told 'em M1x would have 10 cores with 2 E-cores, so they adjusted the P-cores to 10 and the E-cores to 2.
I think everything they put out is a Wild Ass Guess.
Can’t wait for other companies to use ARM. The M1 is pretty much useless if you’re outside Apple ecosystem
too bad macos is such a closed of ecosystem with the m series chip would be great if it was more widely supported like intel and amd
But I can't play Crysis on the M1X!
