  5. 2 years after this video was made and I’m using my Gen 1 iPad Pro 9.7” 64gb to watch this video. Version 15.03.01. I’m just now considering upgrading because I use Procreate a lot and want a slightly bigger screen and my keyboard is trashed to hell.

    These are really incredible machines!

  6. I still own the 2015 iPad Pro 12.9 and it’s rockin the latest iOS 15.0.2 firmware. I also just got the M1 2021 iPad Pro 12.9 and there both very comparable. The M1 is obviously faster but my old one still has a 83 percent battery health and works great!

  9. The iPad Pro 2020 shits over the 1st gen, what are are people talking about. I can see just looking at the web, but as far as production and power, the pro 2020 crushes 1st gen

  10. This is an invalid comparison. The 12.9 version doesn’t have the same hardware configuration as the 9.7 model. To begin with, the 9.7 version is underclocked, with half the RAM as the 12.9. I could go on, but what’s the point?

    As my high school gym teacher was fond of saying, “Get your shït together! Do it right, or don’t do it at all.“

I have the 12.9” first GEN iPad Pro and honestly I was considering swapping it out but the reality of it is that there’s no need to because the iPad Pro such a monster that it’s still holding up to the test of time I for one am not going to do the swap I’m gonna wait a couple more years, The only thing that I can complain about with my iPad Pro 12.9 is that the battery life sucks it’s probably dead in three hours but after five years of using and running and charging I’m pretty sure the battery could use a replacement it’s been beat up for sure.

  19. Watching on my 2015 12.9” and this is an awesome device. The battery lasts a decent amount of time, maybe 7-10 hours. I think battery life would be the only reason to upgrade. But I do art and note taking on it and it is super dependable even in 2020.

  30. Thanks! But you did not answer the question "Why?" Why we need to upgrade if almost all programs have same performance, all other are little bit slower. I think it did not cost $600+ of losses.

  39. This is not a fair comparison at all!, what was the point of the video to give us estimates?. Do the 12.9 from the first generation and the 12.9 2020 (new iPad Pro).Or don’t call it a comparison.
