  1. The bit you stick on the iPad case is not the same in the 3d printer file it’s just 2 little pieces why when you showed it printing it looks different

  2. Tip – set your automation to run when your iPad connects to your car Bluetooth so you don’t need to activate it each time unless of course you wish to.

Great video, I’ve always wanted to do this for my X5 since having a Tesla but was worried about iPad Pro dropping and breaking. I’ve now got 2 mag mounts in the air vent to hold it firmly in place. 😅

  3. 😂😂😂 Apple and their users are ALWAYS late to the game. Then, because their users don’t know any better, they try to make it seem like they came up with something so revolutionary and original! I’m not trying to hate, but I did this for the first time about 10 years ago with the Nexus 7. All the same benefits plus I had wireless charging. But I’m glad this worked for you. Welcome!

  4. Is speed the only downside to using wifi only version. About to try this out but don’t want to add a line to my phone plan.. have unlimited data plan that allows unlimited hotspot, so data usage is no concern.

  5. You can get cheap Wireless CarPlay displays now. This way, your phone – which you most probably will have with you anyways – will do all the processing and provide you with all your contacts, addresses, favourites, etc.. Also CarPlay is optimised for use while driving – so you'll only see the important bits and can concentrate on the traffic instead of watching movies while driving. And you don't have to hide your iPad so it doesn't get stolen.

  6. I have tried this setup with ipad mini 6 1.5years ago. It doesn’t work well, because of lack of gps. It could work, maybe only with cellular Version of ipads.

  7. Yeah, did this for my truck. But the GPS maps is really delayed. Doesn’t follow like my cellphones does.

I’ve changed all the location services to ALLOW. Tried three different GPS/Maps for the truck; Apple Maps, Google Maps and even Waze. Nothing worked well.

Sucks, this is a great idea!
