  1. Wanted to play Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen before Dragon's Dogma 2 release on my Mac mini M2 Pro base (10 core CPU, 16 core GPU, 16 GB RAM) and tried Crossover first but was unhappy with the performance (lots of micro-stutters, some glitches and a non-consistent FPS). Tested using D3DMetal and DXVK and different in-game settings. Now with Fusion, I'm getting a mostly locked 60 fps, settings in high and running at 1440p. Set the VM to 8 cores and 8 GB RAM and the game runs smoothly, mostly locked to 60 fps. There are a few micro stutters when first loading a scene, but is otherwise a better experience for this game – I'm intrigued if others are getting a similar experience

  2. amazing video it worked for me but how I am struggling now is to upgrade the spec of the vm iv done all in the settings but when restarting the vm its still set up with the same number of cores, ram and hd iv seen the unallocated space but the option to claim it with the c drive is grey.. if you could drop a video explaining how this can be resolved that would help greatly regardless keep doing what your doing bless up..

  3. Anyone got the rockstar games launcher working with this? I can’t get past the login screen, continuously get the “we couldn’t create a sign in token” error

  4. I think somebody on Reddit managed to get windows to actually run in direct X 12 mode but I think it’s cap. I’m gonna investigate. If anybody knows there’s any truth to this let me know.

  5. HI, I have a ISSUE and that is that the downloading bar shows that the download is complete but the text still it is downloading esd File. I tried changing language and version but didn't work. Pls tell me any solution.

  6. I follow all the steps and when I want to download windows I get this error : "Esd2iso tool could not get SHA and ESD URL for Windows 11 Professional version for en-us language from Microsoft". Try selecting other languages and the same thing.

  7. What a coincidence! I just cancelled my Parallels auto subscription today before it renews next month. Free sounds much better than $139 a year.

  8. Could you do some testing with NX or solidworks? The m1 is doing fine with normal parts, but has difficult times with free form and assembly’s with over 400 parts ^^

  9. Andrew, what’s your opinion of Whiskey, the free alternative to Crossover? I’m currently using it but there are some things I feel I might be doing wrong to get certain titles to run.

  10. If you set it up for Work or School you can skip the whole Microsoft Account shenaningans. Just do Work or School > Sign In Options > Domain Joined Instead and that's it. You will be prompted to create a local account.

  11. When you run Windows like this, does it work fine if you have a dock with mouse etc connected on extra ports, and especially… if you have an external display connected on the dock via miniDP for example? edit: I guess yes since you are still within macOS. For Linux Asahi though I think we need to wait for the external display over USB C.

  12. My Macbook Pro M3 won't do it. I keep running into a Time Out. EFI network. And can't change any of the settings because it doesn't matter if the machine is shut down or not. If anyone has a solution please let me know.

  13. FYI: If something x86 doesn't run, try this:
Right click on the executable (.exe)
Properties -> Compatibility -> Change emulation settings
Change "Default" to "Strict execution" or "Very strict execution".
I don't do gaming, but I had to switch to "Strict execution" to get some video editing software to work.
I hope Broadcom doesn't start charging for home use of Fusion an Player. VMware is now owned by Broadcom.
Thanks for the video! I just updated to 13.5.1.
