WatchOS 10 Review – Features I Absolutely HATE

1. I hate this new update. I understand it more graphics. But the watch becomes much slower. All the nee features worst. I thought i will just need to get used to. But no, its just the worst update ever. Good video though.

2. As someone who uses the timer ALL the time, and am also seriously visually impaired. This new timer setup is AWFUL. I cannot read the stupid tiny fonts at all anymore.

3. OS 10 is a huge disappointment, particular for us older guys, due to the fact it is difficult to read‼️

5. The smart stack is useless. I really miss being able to open the dock to shortcut to my most used apps. I also hate that I now have to end a workout with two taps instead of one. I keep forgetting the second tap and then getting nudged to end my workout 🤦🏻‍♀️can I roll back to OS9?!

7. Haven't been able to receive text notifications on my watch since the update. I am so sick of this update!

8. i have been using my apple watch for about 3 years. and when i updated to watch 10 os and use it until now, well i hate it so much, i wanna go back to watch OS 9. i hate the stack its not usefull as vuck. why apple decide to make this. and the dock is gone. its hard to switch between apps. when i am on gym and wanna play music its never been so hard. i must open the app drawer than scroll, and when its closed suddenly its hard to find easiest way to go back the app. like in watch 9. so frustating.

9. SECOND time I've been really upset and disappointed at Apple changing watch functionality without my consent, taking away options, making the user experience worse and giving the user no option to maintain old style or old features. Specifically I was upset they took away the 3D touch on my series 5 Apple watch. They used to understand that putting tiny little buttons on a watch screen was not a great UI experience, so having an extra 'button' that was dependent on you pressing down on the screen hard was great because the whole screen was effectively the 'touch target' making it really easy to get the button/function you want.
   They took away that button (and in fact I delayed updating my watch for as long as possible, but after a while the watch tells you it will stop communicating with your phone as the OS versions were getting too far apart, so one morning I woke up and they'd forced the update), now with this crap OS update I can't swipe between faces, I can't use my customised app grid, I can't switch quickly between two apps, I can't use watch faces anymore that utilise the crown for interactivity like the Pride or Kalaedoscope faces, new weather app is far too dense and hard to use, can't easily swap between temps and rainfall etc. and the UI and apps are now filled with these TINY little buttons for you to try and hit while walking etc. the new crown 'menu' is useless, what is it for?? And if people really loved smart stack UI for their watch they could use the Siri watchface.
   Anyway, already started warning friends not to buy an Apple watch and I certainly won't buy another unless they become less hostile to their users.
   If they wanna make a change, fine, but don't take away functionality that I paid for. You can always give the user a choice.

10. I hate ios 10. Bring back the dayandnight modus via the digital crown. Don’t want Apple to tell me when I need to have low light or not. Can’t do my job without this. Gonna sell my Apple watch Ultra because of this. Hate it. I’m an Apple lover but this is stupid and makes no sense.

12. Absolutely hate ios10. Nothing wrong with the way the UI was. Ugh. Want to sell my Apple Watch now. Never thought I’d say that because of an update. But I did.

13. I miss swipe up for control centre, can’t think of any possible use for Smart Stack, miss sideways swipe for watch faces. Really wish I hadn’t updated.

Apple needs to stop the yearly major updates… It's always bug ridden with ill-conceived features that no one wants… Just make feature releases… Properly test your features… The shipping of beta software should no longer be tolerated. When you think about it… Apple ships a major OS every year for every device.. Then it takes 3-6 months to make it stable… You enjoy maybe 6 months of stable use before they do it again :/… I'm at the point where I'll just stay on the older version for 3-6 months from now on.. Then I will enjoy a full year of stable use before I upgrade again…

16. Can’t agree more, it’s so silly.
    – swipe down on iPhone for control centre. Press side button on watch 😑
    – can’t add some apps to widgets stack so can’t properly customise it.
    – can’t rearrange apps by preference in app list mode, but you can in cluster mode 😑
    – stop watch now uses full white face to kill battery I guess. 😑
    – not possible to remove the date and time from Smart Stack at the top. I already have that on my watch face .. just let people customise what they want there!
    – weather app is so over crowded. I don’t need a background image of a cloud when looking at a tiny screen 🤬
    – scroll to the bottom of the Smart Stack and you accidentally scroll into cluster view and vice versa.

17. My biggest disappoinment is the elimination of the dock! Not sure what Apple was thinking when they dumped this highly popular feature.

19. I have 3 watches, I installed the update on 1 and will NOT install this horrendous update on the others. Apple always manages to screw things up. Why change the button functionality. It’s idiotic now.

20. Now that I've watched a few reviews that weren't produced by Apple fanboys I've realised what a huge step backwards watchOS 10 is. There's no way I'll be updating my Watch Ultra as long as watchOS 10 looks and operates as it does.
