20. almost any pc above 500usd can do task that doesn't require gpu easily. The thing that you can only get if you pay so much, are gpus. And the m3 chip gpu is only like rtx 3060

24. Wondering when “gaming” will stop being part of comparisons with a Mac. I guess maybe when the competing windows machine is a mobile workstation and not an rgb monstrosity with a hilarious trackpad and weird keyboard forehead.

Anyone that knows there way around a computer knows they can Build a computer that will be faster and better in every way for less than half the price and be able to upgrade and fix that pc for years to come, so people that buy Apple phones or Macs are Uninformed People, Because why would you buy something that's not fixable or upgradable and the accessories cost a small fortune and the units themselves can cost up to triple the price?

26. Apple makes beauties with their own processors and optimized OS, but they throw all of that with their hostile repair, upgrade or maintenance techniques. The battery wouldn't be the same after some years and physical condition due to dust and heat degradation, maintaining the MacBook Pro until software support is ended is harder.

27. It blows my mind how people like "hurr durrr windows laptops better cause it can game!" When Apple MacBooks, for the longest time, were mainly focused on creativity/productivity, they obviously would need to improve at gaming. It was not until relatively recently that they made a more concerted effort to play games on Mac, so it is also not surprising that a MacBook, from a company whose life had been centered on those creatives/productivity, will not have the best gaming performance. For a short time, Apple has been more focused on gaming, and I'd say they've come a long way. Obviously, they still have an even longer way to go, but where they are now is impressive without a dedicated GPU.

34. sad to see that N Vidia's values over the years have been declining little by little as their pockets grow fuller and fuller, back when they came out of the GTX 1000s series they promised us a growth over the customer side but now as I see more and more of their products getting wrecked by most competitors I think it is time to switch to Apple ( for work at least )

    Plus, whos gonna game on the go, like yes it drops on performance but like, youre not gonna game on your lap in the car, and if youre on train, there is a charging port, if you travel, youll get banned for producing a fire hazard on both laptops, and if youre at home, you just plug it in, whats the point, like yes, youll get worse performance on battery, but you never use that performance for extensive time without being able to charge, so it doesnt matter, like who da fuck cares

Even if you were to buy the mac for games, no dev is such a dumbass to support macs, like for the 2 downloads they get, even if they will be better in performance, no body cares, nobody will bother optimizing the game for mac, paradox didnt release the sequel of cities skylines on mac, that highlights that they didnt get enough downloads, gaming is just made for windows and linux joins the party, macs are made if only then for office men who aint know that they spend far too much money on their hardware but they dont kniw cuz their economic dude they hired also uses a mac

40. You should use a laptop that has amd, cuz theyre fucking fast and freaking efficient, so you seem to have chosen this one just to show us that mac is better, cuz intel uses more power, but actually, amd uses less than both sillicon and intel, so that wouldnt prove your point

41. The thing is, intel is no longer the king in cpu, apple never was. Amd is currently the fastest, but snapdragon is joining the game as Windows on arm currently takes off, so dear mac users, wait for 3 years and you'll see windows laptops outperforming macs even when unplugged… we all know how bad Intel gets without a wall adapter, but arm is just a tiny bit better than x86_64

44. now it's not a secret for ARM based chip to have more efficiency. x86-64 are different playing fields. Mac would die when all company shift into ARM, there just no real competition yet, and when it comes they will bring unnecessary crap like lidar on phones.

49. Ive never bought a laptop without upgrading the ram myself, its much cheaper to get a laptop with something like 8gb of ram and then put 32 in urself than to buy the laptop with 32.
