I just picked up a 14 pro max for $800 XD I also got a 14 pro for $820 funny enough they both have their pros and cons but I find that having a smaller device is definitely a good thing
The iPhone 14 pro has low battery life but that’s the only thing which is bad about it but other than that it is a good size phone for people

I would always go for the newer phone because the newest phone has more residual value if you sell the device again. Every year I buy an iPhone for 1300 and sell the iPhone after a year for 950. I'll put some money in for another new version.

Very negligible differences in the performance. The size and the price matters more.
I just grabbed a mint Graphite 256GB 13 Pro Max for $890 and an immaculate Sierra Blue 13 PM 512GB for 950. Both on 98% BH so I’m a happy camper. In my country we don’t have eSim yet so I’m good to go for a while still. The sierra blue color is absolutely awesome. I really don’t see a huge difference between the 13 and 14 Pro Max that requires a definite upgrade anyway. It’s my first outing on iPhone and I’m happy with it. Thanks for the comparison bud. 💯💯👊🏽
