I will do one pushup for every like this video gets
What camera do you use to record this video it looks great and the hdr is awesome
This is looking like the best monitor for gaming on macOS ever…
The ASUS PA279CRV for like £500 is better than the studio display and I've got that profiled to a deltaE of less than 1.
Do not trust Dough, they are a SCAM. I never received the monitor I ordered 2 years ago. I email them once a month asking when it will ship, they always respond soon. They will NOT give you a refund. They say they will, but then they never end up returning the money to you.
Don‘t buy this. They still owe me 1100$ from a preorder that was never refunded and don‘t respond.
Do not give this company any of your money. I originally pre-ordered a Spectrum QHD 280Hz back in 2021 for $100. In July of 2022 I paid an additional $565.95 as it was supposedly about to ship. Didn't happen.
I finally got fed up and cancelled my order on 10/23. Dough support said I should have a refund within 20 days on 10/24. Guess what? NO REFUND YET.
They are literal criminals.
Don't get a Dough device. I'm still waiting on two screens I ordered nearly 2 years ago. The product is amazing, their promises, not so much.
This video should've started right away talking about the company's sketchy behavior and long history of scamming costumers.
Another Vinpok like scam. Stay away
How is a non-retina 4k plastic display going to be an Apple Studio Display 5k killer?
Take this video down.
i would buy this, if they brought out a 5K version of it so i can run it at 1440p in retina mode, i do not relish going back to 1080p even if it's retina 1080p. or better yet, they should make a 32 inch 6K version of this like the pro xdr from apple!
3+ years and have not received my Eve (Dough) Spectrum pre order. Scam company and I won't bother reading 9to5 mac anymore because they obviously cannot do basic research.
The best monitor to beat the studio display might be the new Dell monitors
I strongly urge all YouTubers to remove all videos endorsing Dough (formally known as Eve) due to their track record failure to deliver promised products, and their refusal to provide refunds. It is essential to ensure viewers are not misled or inadvertently support a company with such concerning practices no matter how many times they had re-branded themselves.
Can you daisy chain two dough monitors for a single plug in on Macbook for both displays?
Can’t trust this company. Want to like their products, and it looks good, but until and unless every customer who’s already ordered and paid either receives their monitor OR the refund they requested, no one should buy anything. Not even from B&H.. fraud can’t be tolerated or swept under the rug.. we work too hard for our money.
Making it 11 minutes into a 13 minute video without mentioning that this company will take your money and never give you a monitor is unconscionable.
I thought your pun was going to be "the customers took… a stand".
I like the thin bezels. For external monitors, I want to be able to switch to a portrait display. Lots of monitors look lopsided when you do that because they have a thicker bezel along the bottom.
I have the Eve (now Dough) Spectrum and while technically it’s a good monitor the firmware and support is garbage. Stay well away from them.
Do not buy anything from that company. I have literally been waiting three months for that monitor. I get the same response. Well it's at shipping. You should be getting it next week. That was three months ago. This company is terrible if there is a problem with that monitor you were never going to be able to get it warranted Stay clear of them!
do not give dough one penny of your money. don't care what videos like this say. they had to change their name because their rep was so bad. the entire company is a scam
Gotta say, love the look of the video. The background colors, the window shade reflection effect, the humor, and the shifting between the product and Jeff on the mic is top notch.
Good to see you back here, Jeff! Always enjoyed your content 👊
This was such a funny video, I couldn't stop laughing.
I'll wait for its 5k version to come out
Still waiting for a 8k OLED high refresh rate panel.
Thanks, I was wondering whether this was any good and about the Matte vs Glossy differences. I may wait to find a 4K OLED monitor though.
Great video! 🙂 Why is it so hard to make symmetric bezels?
I pre-ordered the non gorilla glass glossy version of this monitor the day it went on sale. After waiting over a year and still getting nothing even tho it was supposedly shipping out to new customers I decided to get a refund. It's been about another 7 or 8 months and I still have no refund or monitor. I would highly recommend only buying their monitors when it's in stock from a 3rd party like B&H. Never pre-order anything or directly order anything from Dough.
Dough? Never heard of them. 😂
Great review!
Great video. I like your style and this was very informative about a lesser known brand. I’m just curious as to why this was compared to the Studio Display? Do they market it as comparable to Apple’s display? Either way, thanks for the video!
Having used a 27 inch 5K display since 2014 do not see myself moving to anything less. Also like you not a gamer.
just a headsup this company is extremely sketchy, i ordred one when it was called spectrum eve, never got my unit, they wont respond to emails anymore, steer clear guys.
1st!
