2. that’s a good feature to have on. Also I have a question did Apple already really iOS 17.3 beta to because I have not gotten it on my iPhone yet are they going to release it after January 8 because it’s already been passed in?

7. i think it would be better to only require face id for more sensitive settings/security actions and not the passcode if the face id fails. its already a big step forward tho!

8. Hear me out if they have your phone they could probably figure out where you work and hell maybe where you live. I l know I have my address on google and Apple Maps so they could just open those apps, go park outside these locations and continue on. If the thief is already watching to know the passcodes before they’re gonna figure ways around location based security protocols

10. My notification sounds aren’t playing the correct sound after installing this update

11. Even though I don’t need all of this,the battery is Quite Good I literally charge my phone like last Tuesday or Wednesday!

12. Glad I quit the mobile phone business, Verizon, T-Mobile and all these mobile stores are about to get tech support from this. But it’s a good feature.

15. Settings, General, Transfer or reset iphone, Reset, Reset all settings will get round this feature. You can then add your own new passcode and face ID. Reported.

19. Yes I installed iOS 17.3 Beta 1 on my iPhone 12 Pro and it is working great!

20. So I downloaded this to my iPhone 15 pro max and it seemed to have bricked my phone. I’m stuck on the welcome screen and it will not detect touch. Multiple forced restarts with no resolution.

21. 17.2 is my last update for my iPhone 15 hopefully there’s a jailbreak for it one day.

22. What happens when you’re in an unfamiliar location with stolen device protection?

25. They need an option for powering off device to. Do you know anything for powering off device like Face ID or passcode for 15 pro max?

26. In big cities its not someone spying your passcode at a bar and hacking your phone (most people use Face ID). Its the teenage thugs who are walking up to people at gunpoint on the street demanding they unlock their phone as well as taking their wallets and purses. This happens nightly in Chicago

29. My iphone 12 does not know I am at home so insists on 1 hour delay and Face ID. Maps etc knows where I live. BRANDON I see yours did the same in your office. Reported.

32. In my country we don’t have such a broblem as a theft, so I don’t need this. I even don’t use Find My app.

37. I can already see a problem with the “stolen device” feature. If you have to use TouchID or FaceID for other to work. There are people who only use their 4 digit code to get into their device. They won’t use the Touch pID/FaceId to get into it.

38. i was sure Apple was working on this, thx to the journalists who made this issue public , it took a bit of time, but i guess Apple needed time to implement this the best way possible…

40. The New Lost and Stolen feature has a slight issue or a major flaw.

    It’s not been installed on the iPad. iPad Os 17.3=beta 1
    So f you like me and carry both devices, if my iPad is stolen and the know the passcode, well they can then change the password on my account.

    So it’s a waste of time for Lost and Stolen on iPhone.

    Where can I raport my issues for my iPhone because I am not a developer:(! Iphone 11 pro ios 17.2 I can’t share nothing from photos even copy, choose wallpaper, facebook, instagram nothing from the list, is not responding, airdrop is dead I can’t share nothing is not working nothing I push the button is not doing nothing! 😢, is missing the profile picture from appstore, is haptic when I put my iPhone in silent or playing with volume up&down from side buttons in every app:(! I did hard restart same problems:( 😢!
