In this video, we explain what to do when your iPhone camera is not working! A lot of the time, this can actually be the result of a software issue, not a broken camera.
The Camera app is a built-in app just like the Safari app, so if it crashes or experiences another software issue, that could be the reason why your iPhone camera won’t work.
Try closing out of the Camera app and restarting your iPhone to fix minor software glitches. If you’re using a third-party camera app, that app may just be poorly coded. The built-in Camera app is much more reliable.
If your iPhone Camera still isn’t working, try a DFU restore. This type of restore can usually solve deeper software problems.
