Following the release of the iOS 15.0.2 system update a few days ago, Apple has released the watchOS 8.0.1 update for Apple Watch, which is the first wave of watchOS 8 upgrades. It mainly brings specific bug fixes for the old Apple Watch Series 3 .
According to Apple’s official statement, watchOS 8.0.1 fixes many Apple Watch Series 3 bugs, mainly two:
- Some users of Apple Watch Series 3 may not accurately display the progress of the software update
- Some Apple Watch Series 3 users may not be able to use the “Accessibility” setting
watchOS 8 was officially released with iOS 15 last month (9/20), adding functions such as focus mode, improved “AOD follow-up screen” mode, new “Mindfulness” App, new surface, support for AirTag and other functions for Apple Watch .
watchOS 8 supports Apple Watch Series 3 and later versions. The update method is through “General” -> “System Update” in the Watch App built into the iPhone.
