My iPhone XS, XS Max, Or XR Won’t Charge! Here's The Fix.

Two Apple experts explain what to do if your iPhone XS, XS Max, or XR won’t charge.

First, try hard resetting your iPhone. A software problem may have crashed your iPhone, making the screen completely black and giving off the appearance that your iPhone XS, XS Max, or XR is not charging.

If a hard reset doesn’t fix the problem, try using a different charger or charging cable. It’s possible one of those components, not your iPhone, is causing the problem.

We also recommend cleaning out your iPhone’s charging port because gunk or debris could be preventing your charging cable from connecting to your iPhone.

If all else fails, try putting your iPhone into DFU mode before exploring your repair options. A DFU restore will completely rule out the possibility of a software problem.
