If you iPhone is getting suspiciously hot and the battery is also dying suspiciously fast give this fix a try.
Steps:
1.Back up iPhone to itunes.
2.Erase all content and settings on iPhone.
3.Get through the startup menu so the phone is like a brand new iPhone.
4.Plug iPhone into computer and restore to the back up you just created. Allow it to finish completely and do not mess with it.
This should fix the overheating and battery drain issues you are having.
