Google is using Verified Boot in order to keep the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro secure from hackers. This is great for security but has its limitations when it comes to enthusiasts who want to mod the phone.
If you ever want to install an Android mod like a custom kernel or even just root access with Magisk, then you will need to disable verity and disable verification beforehand.
This is required because without it, Android will refuse to boot the system.

So in this video I walk you through how to boot the phone into Fastboot Mode so that you can issue the simple command to disable these two security measures.
Once done, you are then instructed to factory reset the phone so that we can then boot back into Android and mod our phone.

1. Intro & Requirements [00:00]
2. Download the firmware [01:31]
3. Boot into Fastboot Mode [02:35]
4. Copy vbmeta file to your ADB & Fastboot tools folder [03:37]
5. Execute the Fastboot command as instructed [04:36]
6. Boot back into Android [07:00]
7. Perform the factory data reset (if required)
