While other automakers say it won’t be until the end of the decade that there will be a price balance, Tesla has seemingly already reached it with certain trim levels.

The Tesla Model 3 just became 1.6 times less expensive than the price of the Toyota Camry in California and Oregon due to the company’s confirmation that each of the all-electric sedan’s trim levels qualifies for the full $7,500 tax credit which is helping Tesla vehicles reach price parity with gasoline vehicles. In some instances, they’re even cheaper.

So how much will customers expect to buy this Model 3 for? How did the Tesla Model S Plaid set a new record? And what is Musk saying about the Cruise robotaxi incident?

Let’s find out all in today’s episode of Tesla Car World!

This year is a good year for consumers who want to buy a new electric vehicle.
Experts said car buyers are watching the clock tick down for the Inflation reduction act’s updated electric vehicle tax incentives to kick in. The changes are likely to put EVs within closer reach for more consumers

  1. Kind of misleading video. Not everyone is going to get the Model 3 for 25,000 dollars.
Yes, I should be able to get the government tax credit, but I don't live in Oregon.
Plus I want to get the Model Y hatchback style for more storage.

Now If the Price was 25,000 dollars purchase price without incentives for everyone, I would say that would be a pretty good price.

No complaints on the Tesla vehicles, they are very good.

So don't be mislead by this BS narrator. If you live in Oregon, good for you.

  2. Not low income – only mid income and up. Most low income people do not have extra $350-600 per month. You would know that if you had asked anyone.

  3. Unless you want a Truck and then you're screwed or doomed depending how you look at it. Trucks should cost WAY less for a single cab two motor full sized bed. No extreme extras just towing and carry capacity with a good range as apposed to a full body encasement as in a car.

  4. Price balance 🙂 nice euphemism because Tesla brought down their prices because the cars sell less as expected. The BYD Seal is still cheaper than the Model 3 and the BYD ATTO much cheaper than the model 3. The Volvo EX30 is cheaper and quicker than the model Y. The cooler looking BYD Yangwang U9 is 100k cheaper than the upcoming roadster.
The Rivian R1S and BYD U8 SUV better than the Model Y and X.
The Lucid Air Sapphire better, more range and Quicker than ModelS Plaid.

  5. Biggest con in the whole world is zero emission electric cars……Electric car are a waste of time and are not zero carbon at all, unless the electric to charge is being produce by wind, solar or tidal energy, even pumped power stations aren't zero carbon, also where are all those 7,104 batteries in a Model S at end of life going to be put in landfill (not every part of a battery can be recycled)?..It's a joke……. Hydrogen fuel cell will be the future, after all this electric rubbish.

  6. This guy Elon musk turn the face on the automobile industry this guy is the richest guy for eternity turn a real car into electric and this vehicles are so temping mark my words these cars are the cars we will be driving daily trust this car is taking over the world and am eager to drive one 1⃣ day

  7. 3:40 – If the $5000 mentioned is the Oregon "Charge Ahead Progam" then this is misleading the extra $5,000 from the Charge Ahead program in Oregon is only available to 1) non-profit organisations that don't qualify for the Federal rebate or 2) Low income households.

Almost no-one will qualify as both a low income household AND simultaneously have more than $7500 Federal tax liability. You will either miss out entirely on Charge Ahead or only get a partial rebate from Federal Taxes.

Is there yet another $5000 rebate available?

  8. You folks keep forgetting you have to have a $7500 tax credit to take advantage of this smoke and mirrors trick. Retirees, low to low middle income folks don’t often qualify. High income folks don’t qualify. You also don’t realize any tax credit until you file your taxes. How ,any folks actually qualify? Not as many as you want folks to believe.
Taking a lease and getting the tax credit off of the lease price and then buying out the lease might be a way to take advantage of this deal
We don’t live in Oregon so who cares what folks there get.

  9. still the same ugly build. The display car is good looking but the real product you order/bought is ugly. service is badly customer service. They act like you are begging, not warranty. Tesla does not have repair dealer and this just happen.

  10. a good video – I just wanted to mention that I got a chance to drive a model 3 standard last week – what fun! the power available makes it safer to drive, and so smooth without a transmission. I also liked the ride, was impressed with the suspension – I want one 🙂
