  1. Seems like the i9 14th gen won't be a huge difference then. Might be smart to wait until these come out, and pick up a laptop with a 13th gen processor when the price decreases.

  2. Needing to upgrade my 8400, lusting on a ryzen 7600 / 7500f with hopes for a 7800x3d, I sure hope intel 14gen will put pressure on CPU's and MB's in the current market

  3. 13900k is 640 eur, if the 14th gen is atleast 10% faster and doesnt have massive overheating problems, like 13900KS has and doesnt cost over 850 euros, then i would spend the extra cash

  4. If it does not have 16 p cores at the minimum, forget it. Ecores are pretty much useless when used for computer chess engines. Stick with amd real cores.

  5. If AMD releases the Ryzen 7000 'Phoenix' Desktop G Series with PCIE 4.0 and DDR5 Support to succeed the 5000G series e.g. (5700G), they can beat Intel's 14th Gen Processors on the budget side with their fastest integrated Graphics RDNA 3.0 with 12 Compute Units or Graphics Core Count upgraded from their previous highest end model 5700G w/ 8CUs. Hopefully something appears Q4 2023 this year on the APU side for the G-series desktop. Fingers crossed.

  6. Given 13 gen did worked on 600er boards were there any chipset related resons 14 wont? cant see any radical redesigns mb wise if they still use lga 1700 depending on price might be something for 12 gen user to get some more e cores thogh if rumors are true the real gem will be the i3 if they truely go to 6 p cores and keep the price since 4 cores only was starting to get a bit low even for ofice work.

  7. adjusting their price to a reasonable amount might be the best "upgrade" they may do, considering they are almost the same as the prevvious gen. With economic crisis happening around the globe, majority of people now are looking for "bang for the buck" than "the most powerful and expensive".
