Mate 50 Pro vs Xiaomi 12S Ultra – Camera comparison

Two flagship phones from Huawei and Xiaomi. Is the 1 inch sensor really the game changer for Xiaomi?

What do you think about the camera performance of both devices?
Which one is the clear winner for you?

  1. The colors on huawei mate 50;pro is annoying on camera test. Everything is too sharp and there is no composition because its all too sharp.

The camera taken on the left looks better by default…

  2. Hi Leszek,
thanks for this good information; I guess that the photo-pics were all JPGs and not RAW files.
Since Apple delivers very good 48Mpixels in RAW with ProRAW on the iPhone 14 pro (Main-Sensor) and I actually always shoot in RAW I would be very interested.
Besides, almost no one makes youtube videos about using add-on lenses on the main camera, such as those Moment & ShiftCam supplies. Then you can use the super quality of the main camera also for the shooting situations wide angle and portrait (tele) etc..

  3. Give Huawei all authority of the software it's doing great with all those bans on software and chip sets some parts of hardware too… If we have all authorities to Huawei nothing is best than huawei

  4. Thanks for this awesome comparison, at 9:11 when you are comparing the bokeh of the 2 cameras and you say that the Mate 50 is blurry and not so sharp surely it is because the Mate 50 is recreating a very narrow depth of field which for the distance you took the photo is quite frankly astonishing for a smartphone with such a small sensor. btw I am still using my P30 Pro and I think that the Mate 50 still has a way to go on software updates before it claims the ( cough cough fill my pockets with money ) DXO result 😉
