  5. Nice workaround to get VMs working, however not reading that error message for the address and clicking "Go back" instead of "Continue" had me yelling at the screen.. "JUST CLICK CONTINUE!!" .. SMH

  6. I love how "you certainly couldn't do audio or video work over remote desktop" ended up becoming a thing you can actually do with technology like parsec and moonlight game streaming

  7. It was fun going down memory lane and seeing the version of macos I started on back in school.

    Also, side thought, but apple has already sort of made it possible to install different oses on the ipad with the beta and dev channel ios updates. They could just add an option to install macos instead of ipad os. Easy peasy

  11. It started cool then you get to know limitations, then you can't try what you want, then you try something old just to have fun , your are not satisfied or already done this with others devices, then you forget about this headache and move on.
    Stages of idea you felt works and cool then reality hits.

    Btw this is best for retro games

  12. my imac from 2019 is slower than the iPad running macos leopard… it takes around a minute and 30 seconds to open system preferences. I am running macos catalina

  16. Too much downsides with the Apple bottlenecks. I would recommend a remote desktop solution for many reasons. Option 1: Any embedded system (e.g. Raspberry Pi) for USB-interface LAN-connection (no latency, no crashes!) or Option 2: With a good Internet connection, just rent a virtual server or create an home VPN. Sure, you’ll never get gaming experience, if you’re looking for something like that.

    But come on. Giving anyone unknown your Apple ID credentials for a „solution“ like this: Are you insane?! 😂

  22. WHY? JUST WHY?? Do THEY PLAY MUSIC OVER THEIR VOICE? If viewers want to hear music over your voice, they can play any song in the world with one click. Why do they force us to hear that distracting generic garbage while speaking?

  29. Everyone was complaining that MacOS features never came to the M1 iPad. If you have one, you can use this mod to get the latest MacOS on there and even use almost all of its sixteen gigabytes of ram. That way, you get MacOS features on the iPad.
