Apple AirTags: How to set up and use the tracker

Apple AirTags are tiny disk-shaped Bluetooth trackers that can attach to an item (with a case) like your keys. AirTags use Apple’s Find My network to keep their location updated anytime they come into range of another device on Find My. The beacon-style devices work similarly to Tile trackers and Samsung Galaxy SmartTags. But AirTags also have ultrawideband that can connect to your iPhone 11 or 12 for step-by-step directions that guide you to your misplaced item. I walk you through how to set up an AirTag, how to use it and how to find it when it’s lost.

  4. I just got it and added it to my find my app, however when I try to find it tells me far and a circle shows in the screen and I don’t get meters or rows like you. Can you help me? And it’s only in the kitchen

  12. QUESTION so this wouldn’t help find lost keys not close by?
    My husband is in his 70’s and memory issues getting worse. He’s lost 2 sets of keys in 10 days. One set he put on top my car and drove away. The other set he lost in our field. It was a miracle our grandson found my keys on the side of the road about 2 miles away. We live on a farm so thinking this would be good if he loses keys somewhere on property but just not near house. I’m older and don’t understand all this new technology. Thank you

  21. Thanks for this video. I almost had it, but didn't realize I needed to be within a few feet to be able to home in and also I had removed my airtag speaker. One thing that confused me was when I approached the airtag on my bike was when the screen message said it needed more light? What does that do?

  23. When I have heard is also that the same airtags could also help you find your car if it has been reported stolen to the police. As a matter of fact that's how cars get found that way. So what you might do is try to put that device on your car somewhere so that if your car is stolen it can be found very easily with you and law enforcement tracking the car! I hope that this. Criminals from stealing cars.

  27. I want to Airtag my tractor hauling trailer… And it is parked out at the farm… No wifi. No Bluetooth nearby… And I want to know when someone is nearby or if someone steals it and drives off with it.. hopefully near some phones… How would I set my phone?

  28. I do not have a “FIND” button, mine says “directions”. I do not get the green screen. I have tried to get it but no luck. I have the iPhone 11 all the software is updated.

  31. I bought my Mom a Apple Air Tag for Mother’s Day and before watching your video we watched someone else’s tutorial 😢(not so good). Midway through we ended it and found yours and I just have to tell you yours was by far much more easy to follow. Your video was perfect 🎉 you were funny and informative at the same time. Although Me nor Mom dukes are tech savvy we got it on the first go around we did watch it a few more times only for your humor and additional advice and instructions.   38. I've bought a couple of iTags for my elderly Mom who is constantly losing her Roku remote and her purse at her Assisted Living facility. Though her nursing staff can use her iPhone to find these items for her, is there a way for ME to use MY iPhone to locate items for her as well? (She's not quite 'with it' enough to manage it on her own, if she doesn't happen to be at the facility; it would be nice to be able to use a 'Find Friends' type of capability to find HER iTags instead of just my own …) [Ed: Oh, but I DO know her Apple ID sign-in information, so I presume I could use that from where I live in another state, even absent her iPhone, come to think of it … ]

  46. What if I removed the battery tab already, how do I place the airtag into pairing mode? Just going to Find My > Add a Device won't allow the airtag to show up
