Windows 11 Just Got WAY COOLER! Pixel 8a FIRST Images & more

On Pocketnow Daily, it seems like we’re getting closer to the OnePlus Open launch. Even before the Pixel 8 series, believe it or not, we already know about the Pixel 8a coming later. iPhone day just happened, but there are a few tricks announced that aren’t really ready yet. Finally, Microsoft’s event doesn’t just bring new hardware, but Copilot on Windows 11 sounds crazy cool.

All this and more after the break.

  1. I like the pulling forward form factor on the surface studio laptop this surely seems innovative. The Microsoft copilot is going to attract many people to use the Microsoft windows OS platform. 😎💯💯💪🏾👍🏾

  2. I’m excited for the Pixel 8 Pro with the video features, although I really hope battery life is significantly improved with the Tensor 3 chip. I’m also interested in the journal app for iOS 17.

  3. I drifted to Apple products a few years ago however I’m no longer hardware focused. It’s all about software and AI now and that’s where Microsoft comes in. I want Jarvis on my phone

  4. We recently got a new meeting display from Microsoft in our offices. If you have a Windows laptop, you can wirelessly share and extend your screen to it. As a Mac user, I still have to plug in the HDMI cable if I want to present something on that Microsoft display.
Sounds pretty cool, right? However, the delay between moving your mouse and the display showing the move is insanely long. The display is also constantly flickering and periodically shows a black bar in the middle of the screen. It's so bad that even Windows users plug in their cables anyway.

That's my impression of Microsoft for you. They implement all kinds of cool-sounding features, but none are polished, tested, or stable. Oh, and we still get Windows BSODs on a weekly basis, even on high-end laptops…

  5. The only thing Apple added this year that's cool and amazing and warrants you buying the new iPhones is the new Apple CarPlay! Everything else is trash in true Apple fashion!

  6. Whenever I hear "pull data" what I actually hear is "we're gonna harvest even more of your data." So no thank you copilot, I am not a commodity that you can harvest/mine and profit from.

  7. The new AI race is going to lead us straight to Judgement Day and Arnold is 76, so I don't think he's going to be able to save us.

  8. im waiting for AI to become so good that it'll be able to read everything and do everything i can do oh whats that im out and about just ask it to open up a specific thing and do something while im out so when i get back its done and ready to go like boot up destiny 2 hit enter and then select my titan so when im back im in orbit ready to play heck even smart enough to find where the vendors i want are go there grab all the bounties and return to orbit thats what i want and also an ai to read my emails and go "jesus christ clear out your emails you lazy idiot your storage is almost full just cause of spam"

  9. microsoft is slowly trying to correct their decade of failure. vista wasnt an eye opener for them but rather the first step in a greater tumble downward. the M series chips shouldve told them to take first party hardware more seriously. they've already lost a generation of tech users. these AI features would be great if they werent attached to stinkers like Office365 or Edge

  10. Yep. I’ve been shopping for a new 16 inch that supports multi screens, and boy oh boy does Window 11 multitask far better than MacOS. I now like Search better than Spotlight.

  12. In New Zealand cortana was never enabled. Never. If I change my language to English-Australia then it works but English-New Zealand, nope. We speak the same language. I don’t hold any hope that copilot will come to New Zealand. Windows/Microsoft is a joke, but hey, I would be happy to be proven wrong by them.

  13. I came back to Microsoft with windows 10 and I haven't looked back. I will take Microsoft and Google over Apple any day of the week. I am not as gung ho about AI as a lot of people so I don't know if I'll use copilot or not. we will see. I Love windows 11 and my original Laptop Studio which is great for my music making.

  14. I still prefer the older versions of windows such as windows xp and windows 7. Never liked windows 8.1 and I still don't like windows 11. Windows 10 was decent but at least you can turn off ads and other data mining garbage in settings or when you first boot up the operating system. I end up using google chrome instead of the edge browser. I rather use netscape navigator over the edge browser. If netscape navigator came back in the modern era of browsers, I would even use netscape navigator over google chrome maybe even the browsers from the era of windows xp and windows 7 era. Each newer versions of windows has changed Microsoft and made it worse. I use windows for gaming and syncing my music library playlists with media monkey to my micro sd cards to my android devices since I store my own music locally since I don't stream my music and the same thing applies to movies as well except I just copy and paste my movies to the movies folder to my micro sd cards on my android devices. I use windows and android in conjunction with each other. I even use my samsung chromebook for watching 4k content since it has a 4k super amoled display and for using android apps and sideloading android apps.
