  1. All my issues with the phone warming up on my P6 is modem related. 5G UC starts cooking it. Not on UC, no problem. That said the phone doesnt shut down it just gets hot and uses battery.

  2. 4 nano process instead of 5. Apply FO – WLP. You know? The only 2 manufacturers in the world that can use 3 nano process. Samsung is the one company with GAA PROCESS. You dis Samsung awfully. Can Intel apply even 5 nano process?

  3. I'd absolutely suggest that most of these people complaining about the thermals. Are absolutely smashing the life out of the pixel by running long demanding intensive applications etc. Whereby any phone will heat. I have never had any thermal issues other than just getting warm. I really don't think the problem is remotely as bad as most are making out. Well I'm yet to see it on my 6 pro or 7 pro.

  4. My pixel 7a is warm right now. Are you in Florida or some other uninhabitable State or region? Do you use your phone while in the car? Then you have had this pixel garbage overheat. I hate this phone.

  5. In India room temperature is high. And Ine of my friend told me to not buy Google base on foreigner review as so many come from colder temperature region. He said phone warms like hell here in India. He said either you have to reduce your usage to keep it at normal temperature which he said SOT of. 2-3 hrs. 🥹🥹🥹 Hope they fix this or I'm buying Samsung s24 next year 🫣

  6. I've had my pixel fold since launch and I've had Zero problems with. People need to take their phones back if there having issues. This phone is perfect

  7. It's overblown, at least for my phone, yeah it gets warm sometimes but whatever. If people think they can shoot 4k video while the thin pixel stays ice cold are on another planet

  8. This is no knock on you but I'm guessing you're an inside person and that most of your activities are done in a climate controlled area where it's not hot and you're in an air conditioned environment and so yeah you haven't had that problem but it's problematic to all pixels that they run warm.

  9. I have an s23 ultra and it is ice cold, i live in the Caribbean where ambient temperature is usually 30° to 33°c, can a pixel survive that? 😅

Also it has been leaked that the pixel 8/pro screen brightness will increase by 1400 and 1600 respectively, such a small increase does not bode well for efficiency of these chips, they cant increase the brightness any further since it may overheat. Ill buy a pixel when they move to tsmc fab😊

  10. I turned off 5g on the fold and no issues with heating and battery is definitely better

Did same on s23 ultra and same results

5g isn't all that it's advertised to be

  11. Its exynos it will be overheating. My Pixel 7 is bit too warm even on watching your wideo. My last Pixel 4a was pice od art with some limitation and i'm not feeling 7 same way. And dont expect to 8 will be redeption afert 7. Im still loving Pixel but its less Pixel than i was on the past 😢

  12. I'll explain what this actually is. Its not a tech that you can use with the GT3. It is the GT3/2300 chip. Chips are poorly packaged and manufactured by Samsung. It has nothing to do with the cores and everything to do with how these chips are made. If made poorly, you get a poorly heated chip like exynos.

They hired an ex TSMC designer to help design the way these chips are packaged. This will ensure efficiency and thermals are regular. Yes we will see a difference but this is the first time Samsung is doing this, so we will see how this will do. Since Smasung is also using this packaging method with their 2400 chipset, then im assuming it must be because it has improved thermals. Although Samsung will be behind in overal performance, they should in theory be identical in efficiency and thermals now with this packaging method. The 2400 is also based off the GT3 so you can tell that smasung and google have been working together really hard to fight these thermal issues as well.

Guaranteed we will see better thermals that match iphone snd Qualcomm devices. Seeing how we are going from a 5mm to 4mm with more efficiency cores and a new packaged chip method. We can assume that the battery life on these devices will be great! Also android 14 does fix a lot of thermal and battery issues as is. This for sure seems like a solid device.

  13. I believe Google will get it right this time. I've never used any of their products before. But for some reason I'm excited about the Google pixel 8 series. I could be wrong lol, but something tells me Google will surprise us this time.

  14. Same here, I have been saying for a while turn off 5G. In my region 5G is patchy so causes more issues switching so why bother as most of us only use small packets of data. If I am downloading larger files I use WiFi. That is why I nearly got 13 hours projected SOT on my Pixel 7 Pro one day! Nearly 7 hours with 56% used. Also, no heating issues. So I suspect overheating is a combo of the modem and doing high-performance tasks, and as I do not use 5G or game, my experience has been great. Caveat is I am on Android 14 that has improved battery as well.
