Android phone and tablet users who are still using the old version of Android should pay more attention! The Google Chrome browser App will prepare to release Android 7 and 7.1 system versions and will no longer provide security support and update services.

Google recently updated the support page description of Chrome Enterprise and Education Editions. The content mentions that the Chrome 120 update version expected to be released in December this year will no longer support the Android operating system Android 7 and 7.1 versions. In other words, if Android phone users want to continue using the Chrome browser, the mobile operating system must be upgraded to at least Android 8 or above.

The Android 7 system codenamed Nougat was released in 2016, which is at least 7 years ago. According to foreign media Android Police, as of October this year, approximately 2.6% of Android users are using the old version of Android 7.0. Among the previous system versions, the Android 13 system is currently used by the most users, accounting for approximately 22.4%.
