can i use a 7700xt if i have a 650 psu ?
Shit happens. Nice recovery. I've often thought the PCIe version was overrated for video cards. Gen 1? Well, that did better than I expected. Have never been concerned about gen 3.
ltt would of let the gen 1 data slide if they made the same mistake
Good Catch.. GN would have killed you!!!
From what I understand from what HUB said about the 6500XT the PCIe generation only really matters when you run out of VRAM. Since that is a 4GB card it runs out of VRAM a lot and is this more crippled, especially because of the 4x lanes. I’d be interested to see this test with a card with less VRAM. Maybe a 3070 or something like that with games and settings known to stress the 8GB of VRAM because that should cripple it when it tries to use system memory instead of VRAM.
Wow, that's a really interesting result. Tiny difference considering the difference in spec.
Thank you Danny, Sleep tight, I'll hope to one day get up there with those big budget nerds, you really deserve it, every video is fun and educational. One of my fav channels on YT.
Thise were some very interesting results. They were around what I would expect <10% most of the time (the only greater % difference was when the framerate was low and 5-6fps meant 20% uplift ).
It's quite nice to have a decent proof that older pcie versions don't matter too much when gaming.
Amazing results! Great Video Danny.
Where's the LAN party!? 🙂
Oh well….you fixed it and that’s awesome…nothing to feel bad about!
You are obviously a anti rip off shill, there is no way that every few years the manufacturers release another technology upgrade that we have to have if we don't want to game on an etch a sketch. Obviously you are trying to take money from pooer billionaires.
Glad you caught the error and also took the time to correct it! Don't wanna see a Gamers Nexus videon on "The Problem with Nerd on a Budget…" lol
I feel you're being pretty hard on yourself for a genuine mistake but we appreciate the honesty 🙂
Pretending to mess up, so you can make a video… just to show how to handle a mistake properly on youtube. You can't fool us Nerd, we all know your Perfect!
dont shit it danny its alll good shit happens
I use gen 3 so I wonder how much a difference there is
i'd love to see what happens with a 4090 at 4k … these results are crazy .. I had someone on facebook arguing me that there would be a huge difference between pci 3 and 4 .. I said I didn't think it would be more than a few fps
Wait, you are actually telling people you have made a mistake? What's next? Are you going to spend 500 bucks to re-test it? That would be insane!
I really enjoy your content but I am failing to understand the point of making a video with a clickbaity title to essentially say that yes your numbers you released were already correct when you are making another video comparing the PCIe gens already where this info would have been an entertaining anecdote instead of wasting the viewers time with no truly new information. (Of course unintentionally)
