  4. Hey rabid. Out of curiosity, could you talk about the comparison between the 5950x and the 7950x on ghost rider? I am thinking of investing in a 7950x setup, but it looks like it’s bare minimum $1100. Obviously the 5950 may not get the hashes, but how about the efficiency? Thanks!

  6. Your info on the L3 cache size was helpful as I increased my hashrate by reducing the # of threads used while mining with my 5950x CPU. For me 23 threads was the magic number

  16. Come on my brother Rabid, unless the price of these Ryzen 7000 CPUs, AM5 motherboards and DDR5 RAM seriously drop, but at current retail prices, building a CPU mining rig with latest generation is not worthy at all :$
    INTEL Raptor Lake CPUs are supposed to come with more L3 cache so maybe they could finally be an alternative for CPU mining this time around? BUT again QUID of pricing :$
    Also although Ghostrider is an interesting algorithm, i wish i could say the same for RTM (and all its clones), so far just hype but no real world utility :$

  22. Great video! As well as the Monero mining video. You explain it very well and have good knowledge. I have some Ryzen 1, 2, 3 & 5000 series. But I was planning on buying an Intel this time maybe, but maybe I have changed my mind because of Ryzens performance on both Monero and Raptoreum (and other CPU minable coins).

    Havn't mined so much Raptoreum so I can say much, but it seems efficient, but the Monero benchmark rocked solid! Awesome CPU as it seems! How will it perform on VerusCoin?

  27. This may help amd’s zen4 if mining guys move to using zen4 for it but then you need a new am5 mobo with ddr5 ram set and all that plus a nice air cooler. Zen3 on sale will be better choice

  35. rabid, one question, do you already thinked about invest some in water cooler? i do my rig all in water cooler, every one conected on the same cicle, i can overclock good and get more hashes. tell me what think. ps: i dont pay energy here.

  38. So Rabid Mining, with this $2200 of 7950X+670Mother+DDR5Ram+1200WatsPSU, I can buy in second hand markets 5-7 Ryzen 3900X+MotherBoard B450 with ram and PSU (600WAT) and get x6 or x7 more Hashrate and less power consuption for Ghostraider. Are you agree with that?

  39. Not as huge of a gain over the 5950X here as there is in XMR. 15% vs the 30% in XMR.

    Something curious I noticed between the Zen generations is that Zen 2 tends to mine exclusively XMR on moneroocean where Zen 3 tends to flip between ghostrider and XMR. I am curious if this is down to memory quality making XMR more profitable on the Zen 2 system.
