4. My favorite feature is owning an iphone 13 pro that still uses a sim card so i can do the trick to have imessage on my fold. BEST of both worlds.

7. yeah I think that apple should make a foldable. Not many people carry their ipad mini around. When I'm out and about I wouldn't want to carry a third device with me nor do I want to bring an ipad mini to like a theme park or travel. So having one device that can do all that would be nice to have. Also the front screen isn't too bad if you use swype. Punching the letters is a hassle, i perfer swype than anything else.

I’m a hardcore iPhone lover contemplating buying the new Z5 fold but he didn’t cover the differences or comparisons in the operating systems such as does the Z fold have the password feature like iPhone which makes my life so much easier? Just one of many questions.

22. Of course apples going to do it. They have to, to stay relevant, and to keep up with Samsung/Google/ and other good Android phones. They’ve already filed tons of different Patents for it as well. We definitely aren’t seeing it this year in September, but by 2024-2025 I would bet a good amount of money that there will be and Apple flip phone. And I think they’ll do away with the IPad mini. Tablets are and have been a dying electronic. Now mostly every Laptop is a touch screen and regular mouse click type screen combined, and they’ve dropped in price considerably. There’s really no need for an IPad mini at all. Apple has fell off the last 3-4 years as well. Their sales are wayyyy down, and people just aren’t as interested in the new iPhones every year because they basically release the same exact phone every year with just minimal camera upgrades, chip upgrades, and 1-2 small cool new features. Many people have switched to Samsung and Google phones because of everything they do, wayyy more features, screens and cameras are nicer and better. Apple is still number one because they have the name and brand. All the celebrities use them and will never switch, so that definitely helps the from a marketing standpoint, but it’s not enough anymore. They have to come in hott with the flip phone, and make it way better,more polished like they always do, and impress everyone again, and show why they’re number 1… a lot of competition now that android phones are premium and not shitty like they used to be!!

25. 1 day phone in a world of 2 day phones. Made me gently laugh. Never had more than 12 hours/day. The performance demands are growing, batteries aren't getting much bigger. I guess companies just make it able to hold acceptable morning-eve between charges. Realistically.

27. I've had the z fold 4 for almost a year and its great but ill go back to apple because ft with me and my friend are a huge deal plus i never seem to use the inner screen and now for some reason it wont open all the way lol

28. I traded the 13 Pro Max for the Zfold4. Samsung's trade-ins are generous even with phone scratches. Both phones were too heavy and bulky for me. I wish I had tried them without the case and used insurance as needed. Now I have the 14 Pro which I like.

33. My take, don't buy this, it's horrendous. Some of the issues mentioned here are magnified 100x when it really is your daily phone. I bought the 1TB model on day 1, and I've been trying to trade it in every since.
    You tend to use the front screen more than the opened form, and it's far too narrow. The keyboard would be usable if the predictive corrections worked properly, but they just don't, which results in 80% of your typed words being absolute nonsense needing deleted and corrected. And you can't switch to the usual suspects of alternative keyboards because a lot of them just don't work with the Fold.
    When you do decide to open it up, things get worse. As a media consumption device, this is a lie. Watching any video content on it is sold to you like this massive immersive experience, when in reality the display is a 1:1 square box shape, and most videos are 16:9 or 9:16, so you get black bars and less media on display than you'd get on a S23U.
    Then there's trying to hold and use it whilst opened, it's BAD. In order to type, you've got to shuffle the entire opened phone down so your thumbs are near the bottom, which results in a weird weight distribution for holding, and the keyboard again is unusable. You find yourself tilting and shuffling the phone just to try and get your thumbs to reach the letters on the keyboard, which is all do-able, but it's intensely frustrating and within days you find yourself wondering why, why is this like this, I didn't pay 2k to have this uncomfortable awkward experience.
    So what happens is you just use the front screen 99% of the time, resulting in you having paid 2k to use a huge fat phone with a tiny narrow display. And that's not to mention the lack of support for most software features that some of use i.e. Nova launcher doesnt work on this, you can't create YouTube Shorts on this, the cameras are terrible compared to the S23U.
    Just don't, the marketing makes you want it but the reality of owning it is very different.

38. I'm sure it was just an oversight, but you incorrectly spoke about the small keyboard on the " outside display" of the phone. The main keyboard is on the inside of the phone when you open the Z Fold 4 up. It's better than anything out there if you install the Google keyboard App & use it instead of Samsung's keyboard, which is okay but nothing like Google's Gboard keyboard. On top of the best keyboard I've seen on any phone being on the inside / main display, you get the amazing convenience of having a second display, & keyboard, on the outside of the phone! It is totally convenient for Reading/typing a quick text. The conveniences of this phone are shocking. It is so far beyond anything else out there. It's not just the premium, industry leaning display, etc. but it's Samsung's operating system that gives it all its functionality! Google will take years to catch up on the software side, if they're even able to come close on the hardware side.
    You didn't mention the " taskbar ", at the bottom of the main inside display. It makes everyday use of the phone Uber conveniently quick! If you like productivity enhancements, there is nothing else like this phone out there.
    Also, you didn't mention Samsungs included DEX software functions. I can plug an external monitor, mouse & keyboard into this phone, via my USBC hub, which does 4K @ 120hz, turning high-end monitors into a high-end PC! I don't even bother with my laptop anymore. It's much more convenient just to do it all with my Z Fold 4!
    Regarding the "crease", You don't even notice it on web pages etc. I use my phone, I don't "look for something you can only see if you get the light and the reflection just right on it, to see a minor, barely noticeable dimple" like the reviewer is doing. And if that does bother you, the z fold 5 will be out in just a couple months which eliminates the minute, barely noticeable fold. Just start watching for the sales when it comes out and get 40% off! Even if Apple does come out with a fold, it will take them to yours to even catch up to Samsungs premium quality. PLUS, Apple does not have SAMSUNG'S PATENTED DEX!

42. Fold prices need to come down to $1500 MAX. I really want them to take off and I’d love if Apple made one. Sometimes it’s really annoying how Apple likes to move at their own leisurely pace, a foldable with iOS would be killer

43. To say Apple will never make a folding phone is just ridiculous. I think Apple will definitely make a folding phone somewhere down the line and apple customers will eventually demand it. These regulars slab phones are all identical and just plain boring. Apple will just be the last to the party because they will wait for when they feel is the right time to make one.

46. This crunch sound when open the fold 4 i have too. And i have test it in 2 stores they had the same issue. And this is very very bad first for this price and second you get tired of this sound because it starts after 1 Month. And my fold 4 was broken after 4 months the hinge wss not full open just like a laptop. Thats a really bad point i think they have develope it wrong special the fold 4. In generall a nice phone but this issue is very bad. And the backup the same. With samsung you can save just some things but not photos and documents or music. This you need to save something else.

48. I been on board with Apple since the first iPhone and the only good iPhone is a jailbroke iPhone. That being said the Fold 4 is like a jailbroken iPhone on steroids with super powers. May be time to jump ship from Apple

49. I think you are wrong about cannibalizing the mini. The iPhone fold would be more expensive. Samsung sell tablets as well… however if you want them together you'll be paying also as much as both devices.
