From 94 To 55 Degrees Celsius. Make your Ryzen 9 7950X the BEST!

Ryzen 9 7950X can run EXTREMELY COOL if you want it to! With minimal performance drop. This in my opinion is where these CPUs should be closer tuned to out of the box, instead of getting pushed to the near brink of no return lol.

  1. AMD wasn't kidding when they said efficiency was way better, even if they defaulted to high power for the desktop models. What this tells me is that the laptop chips are going to be absolutely killer

  2. This may be an old video but I just used it for helping with my Ryzen 7700 non X. I just wanted to bring the temperature down a little bit at full load. Not only did I bring the temps down 20c I actually brought my multiscore in Cinebench up from 17300 to 18700 with only 20 points lost in single core.

  3. burning 200w for that 10 fps is just insane to me… I always undervolt both and never had a problem gaming. you won't even notice that 10fps difference so why waste 200w of power and burn your hardware…

  4. I support this 100 % . Recently did a few test ( close to a hundred) in DaVinci comparing the 7900 XTX to the RTX4080 and the best results i got were at 4.3Ghz and 1.35 Volt for the AMD and 4.4GHz and 1.40 Volt for the Nvidia . Every time i tried to push the CPU closer to its maximum it just throttled and took more time to render. It's probably completely different for games because there would probably be only 1 core or so really working .

  5. Got my 5800x undervolted @1.26v 4.5ghz with 95w eco-mode enabled, now runs 20c cooler. in games, it chills in the high 40s now and in cinebench in the high 60s after 10min. Fps loss is maybe 3% at best. UV my Sapphire 6800xt nitro+ OC SE to only 881mv as well.

  6. I dont understand why someone buys the biggest baddest cpu to turn it down . Its like buying a supercharged car and then turnIng off the supercharger . Why not buy the appropriate cpu for ur needs voltage wise.

  7. Interesting, I feel conflicted now. I just slapped a PBO 75/-20mv curve on mine in bios, and I got 37'774 in cinebench (though I didnt bother to shut down any programs running, just a quick and dirty to compare). So higher performance than this, but significantly hotter (never exceeded 80c) and more power draw (though still less than stock). During normal use or gaming I never see it past 60c but thats never at full bore either.

Not sure which of these 2 options I like more now haha

  8. when amd starts bringing out new chipset drivers for AM5 there will be clock speed interferences example of this will be of controlling the power consumption threw the chipset driver and change to where the cpu wont be hitting 95c during gaming .now it will still get up to 95 degree if your doing cpu benchmarks and very heavy cpu task.

  9. This is what i don't understand, why dont these guys just rely on their IPC improvements, instead they crank up the clocks so high just to claim top dog, that most users can't cool them well enough for stable usage. this is why im eyeing the 7900 for its very similar performance to the X version while using half the power and heat

  10. 4:22 Hey there I was looking for a proper undervolting video for my R9 7950x using Ryzen Master, I'll try these settings out now and report back later with results! I used ImWateringPSUs 3070 GPU undervolting video and that gave me great results, going from 50 degrees C to 28 degrees at idle! Hopefully with this I can reduce my average current CPU idle temp of 55-60 C. Cheers and thanks for the video

  11. Can anyone tell me if using Ryzen Master is a safe alternative to altering your bios? I know that every time I turn on my PC I'll have to start the RM application and apply it, but I prefer that to messing with my BIOS because that always proves more tricky for me with my board and I've just found this to be safer and easier. Is there any risk/danger to using Ryzen Master this way and this frequently?

  12. So these values work wonders in my system, but how do I input these on my x670e extreme motherboard bios so I don’t need to open Ryzen master every time I boot up my system. Advice would be much appreciated!!!

  13. Damn it, this beast even with a 360 AIO was overheating and bluescreening,,,,, like it actually spike in temps faster than an aio pump can react to.

Underclocking made it usable ,,,, for now

  14. Beware, undervolting this much affects the single core performance of the cpu and maybe for someone this isn't the best option. Most of the time when we start a program or open a browser tab, the cpu uses only a core and there the high frequency boost comes in handy. Same goes for heavy cpu programs that for some tasks may use only one core (Zbrush or similar come to mind).
Reducing too much the single performance makes useless switching from AM4 to AM5 for these people, because one of the reasons why they move from AM4 to AM5 is to keep up with the single core performance of the 12th and 13th gen Intel chips. Otherwise why would someone spend so much?
If single core performance is more important for some people, then these should do a slightly undervolt, trying to keep the turbo active and the maximum frequency possible in single core tasks.
For them would be better to do a curve optimization per core. But would take days to test all of them and find the right values.
I got a Ryzen 5 5600X and if I undervolt it to its max capability, the single core performance goes back to a bit more than an overclocked Haswell. So keep an eye to the single core CPUZ benchmark when undervolting. For reference, a 500 points score is in the league of an Haswell overclocked to 4.5, while a stock Ryzen 5 5600X scores 635+. Find the compromise that is best for your needs.

  15. Thinkin to go Intel next, couse i aint needing a tank anywhere, new games are just shiet.

I just need new Chip for Windows 11 and maybe upcomgin Windows 12.

Gonna be building all new computer maybe in 2024, couse Windows 10 is going down.

  16. You'd think – if they were really serious, which is debatable – that all these companies, politicians, celebrities and gadflies moaning about "sustainability" would be making this issue their very first priority with respect to reducing power demands and the associated emissions worldwide, given the pervasive use of computers pretty much everywhere. I hear… crickets

  17. Ryan Thanks for the video. It works great with my 7900x. Just one question… Should I apply the manual values in the Ryzen Master every time I turn on the PC?… I ask this because I have already tried a couple of times and when I restart or turn the PC off and on again I try to render and come back to 95 degrees again. Am I skipping a step?

  18. what would be the ideal voltage for a 7900X CPU? ive been playing horizon zero dawn and my cpu gets up to 95C and my game crashes. the entire time im running on 144FPS(my monitors mhz). would the voltage and clock speed be the same as the 7950X that the video is showing or would it need to be lower? any help would be appreciated

  19. What if you're using xmp? Do I have to disable it? I tried what you did but there is no way to test without rebooting. Edit: This method is very dangerous. I ended up having to reset the bios. It must be because I'm using an Asus mobo. I am currently using bios 9934 for asus x670e-e. 9934 is a test bios that addresses the XMP issues.
