  1. "You're probably better off waiting for AM5."

    Since this video: 5800X3D!!!! 5800X3D!!!! 5800X3D!!!!
OMG you can put it on older boards!!! Get it now! I can't shut up about it whenever AM4 is brought up!!!!!

  2. Kinda unfair and shows how biased you are by not including the AMD 600,2600 and 4600. You purposely picked out the best case scenario ones to fit the agenda! I'm onto you! You're channel name is also "Hardware Unboxed" yet I've never seen you actually unbox something. You reel people in under false pretenses and then have bias. This is entirely unacceptable and I will be contacting AMD and getting to the bottom of this!.

  3. Honestly the performance in single core games from the 5600x just destroys the 3600x. I went from 120fps on dayz to 270fps and also EFT runs so much better rarely dropping below 100fps with my 6750xt. the 5600x for online multiplayer games is in a different league to the 3600x.

  4. Watched this from another site and had to come in to give a like. I don't think I need to upgrade from a 3600 to a 5600 after all, my games have been running just fine with a 3600 + 3060 Ti so the change won't matter.

  5. PSA: 3600s are incredibly cheap on the used market right now, 50€ here in Germany. Now add a used B550M Motherboard for 80€ and 16GB of RAM for 30€ and you got a CPU + Mobo + RAM for 160€ that can run pretty much any game available right now.

  6. This video is a year old now and I can get a 3600 for 95 or a 5600 for 145. that's 50% more money for roughly 17% more performance… considering if I were to use this it would be primarily for 1080p and 1440p @60fps I can't imagine, even today, why I would want to buy the 5600 over the 3600.

  7. i am a little confused how the performance between these two are so close when my pc is having more trouble than what other people with the same cpu/gpu as me supposedly lacks

like lower fps than expected in some games
fps drops on youtube videos when gaming
generally slow buffering on videos and jumping from task to task (like alt tabbing a game to change a vid or jumping between browsing, discord and gaming)

basically my system feels somewhat sluggish and i got an nvme a new pair of 3200 ddr4 ram and was told PSU has no impact on performance so long as its got enough juice
my cooling seems completely fine as neither gpu nor cpu rarely goes above 60 celcius
i have an rx 6600 which i hear is still great so that cant be the issue either

i do rarely get my cpu to above 50-60% usage and often it will sit at around 40%
also i have a b450 tomahawk max ii but i heard that as long as the mobo has what it needs for your system that too wont mean much
i havent bios updated mine so perhaps there are some performance hiding in there ?

at this point the only thing i can see making a difference is upgrading cpu but do i really have to jump into 7000 series to see proper performance increases now ?

  8. theres not much difference. i dont think is worth the upgrade. you risk damage your motherboard or something and waste time also having to resell the old cpu. i have a 3600x and dont see why i would upgrade to 5600. from what i think , any game running above 100 fps would not make alot difference unless you are a hardcore gamer which i am not. from benchmarks i saw , that 5600 cpu can give 10 percent faster fps but thats not true for all games and not needed to play the game without issues. i think that you would need to buy an am5 motherboard also if you dont have one if you really want to buy a better cpu and want to see a big upgrade.
