  1. I hope the ditch the range extender in the bed and incorporate it into the main pack instead by the time I’m ready to order.

The range is not good enough to use it as a truck replacement. I don’t think I could tow my toy hauler more than 100 miles :/

  2. For the few that can afford the top model do you think the Cybertruck actually would have enough room to shoe horn the extra batteries underneath the vehicle instead of a tool box feature. Charge more money if someone wants that option

  3. Will a Kool-Aid dispenser be available at each passenger location? hopefully the truck will be able to hold enough Kool-Aid to last slightly longer than the estimated mileage of a fully charge battery pack.

  4. Pricing: expensive: – this aspect is a function of comparison only, as there is NO equivalent product to compare it to. NO other offerings in that segment come even remotely close to the offering that is Cybertruck! It's like comparing a Ford Mustang to a Ferrari and saying the Ferrari is "expensive".
A better way of looking at price is to ask whether the Cybertruck meets (or exceeds) your expectations of such a vehicle, and whether your are prepared to pay that much to have those features/benefits. If not, then it IS expensive! If you are prepared to pay that price, then it is priced right. If it exceeds those expectations, then you have a bargain'! Simple!
My guess is that Tesla will not be able to meet demand, even at that price, for a long time to come! Thus, it is priced right.
Will the Cybertruck be the vehicle for the ordinary man in the street? Probably not, unless that person has some pretty exotic needs that the Cybertruck will fulfill. How he will pay for it is a whole different ball game, but that is not Tesla's problem.

  5. So, it is much more expensive that estimated, it has much lower range, it is too big to be a real hauling truck with that tiny cargo area, it looks like an 80:s low pixel video game truck, it is not actually a real product yet, but it exellently fills the market gap for people who are pretenders who have their outer appearance the most important feature of their lives.
So, it is a failure. But, as all Teslas, it is, as said, for douchebags who consider German brands too lame. So, why Musk always brings overhyped products and non-working innovations for us? Hyperloop is an impossibility, the big Tesla truck is not an alternative for a diesel truck, it just is not commercially competetive and it has stupid cab and ergonomics, there should be a base in the Mars already, the Starship program is repeating Soviet errors in rocket technology etc.
Musk is a brilliant Snake Oil salesman. He made other car manufacturers to shoot their own foot by forcing them to produce electric- and hybrid cars. Now these are in financial trouble, and halting production because the raw materials will run short in couple of years; copper will run out, and lithium shortage and it's environmental impact will be a problem.
Hundred years ago electric cars were found to be a technological dead end. They still are. In Norvay they are already banned from car ferries, in Germany cities are banning them from parking halls, there will be restrictions or bans on charging near buildings, so the future of battery driven vehicles is bleak.
They will be a puzzling thing , as will "wind power", for future historians. They will wonder how we were so stupid and gullible, as neither is a net benefit for the climate on environment.

  6. Cybertruck as a 680 mile range hybrid – If we have 340m range from 123kWh in the specs that implies 2.76m/kWh. Driving at 68mph it takes 5 hrs to cover 340m. If you could fit the REX 647cc generator pack from a BMW i3 into the cubby under the rear truck bed, that 25kw electrical output would provide 125kWh so an additional ~340 miles if the generator were to be run continually for the 5 hrs, on those occasions when 340 miles is not enough.

  7. Don’t think pricing is much of an issue. More than enough reservations to allow Tesla to sell every single vehicle they can make for years to come even at these price levels. People that want to be first will be willing to pay. It’s the same with all technology. The early adopters pay the R&D and ramp costs and the buyers a few years down the track get better pricing. Eventually CyberTruck might be the best selling truck in the world.

  8. Awesome content a as always. Dillon from Electrified made a good case that adjusted for inflation, the price is about the same as originally advertised. 👍🏼

  9. Designed by KINDER KIDS obviously, Price, was to be, as stated by EJ, to be $40,000US and now starting at $60,000US up to $90,000US. 75% more or 125% more, Good economics there. The rear can nearly hold a mountain bike , WHO HOO, marvellous ability! The power system is simply a big phone back up. No revolutionary at all. You need 70,000watts of roof solar to really charge it at home, crazy stuff and all an absolute drain on the environment, not a saving of the environment at ANY STAGE, Honda cars had 4 wheel steer long time ago, 20 years or more. They are all chemical bombs on wheels. Great vehicle to do your WOKE VIRTUE SIGNALLING to the parents as you pick up the KIDS from school. That is what this is all for.

  10. I really like the "range extender" because it opens the door (ever so slightly) for a replaceable battery that would make the charging problem go away. Just swap and go. That is what people want.

  11. When demand is satiated at these prices, the prices will start declining.

If you want to pay less, just wait.

If you don’t want to wait, just pay.

  12. The CyberTrucks battery is equivalent to 9 powerwalls ($6k ea) at $55k total so you get to back up your home, have Mobile energy on tap, and get the base model truck for only $5k ($60k-55k)!

  13. I greatly disagree, price won’t affect demand (vs production). Price will be adjusted to keep demand reasonable as compared to its production as Tesla has done with its other models. Despite the FUD Tesla has done very well so far in doing this across their product line.

  14. Jon, what I want to know is: Why isn't anyone talking about whether or not the cab-bed window can be opened. I see tents as accessories, but I want to know if HVAC air can get back to the bed area for car camping. I guess we haven't had a truck camping person review the CT yet.
