Resident Evil Village on iPhone 15 Pro vs iPad Pro M1 vs Steam Deck – Resi Goes Mobile!

Resident Evil Village comes to iOS and in this video, we concentrate on how this triple-A PC port looks and runs on Apple’s recently release iPhone 15 Pro. The truth is, you’re getting a unified iOS/MacOS port that’s essentially a close relation of the PC version, meaning that even on the go with iPhone or iPad, you have access to the complete range of PC’s settings and presets – plus MetalFX upscaling. It’s an interesting project… but just how well does it work?

  1. Resident evil 4 remake looks worse than mac just like village and you can’t change graphics settings. I think we should wait for iphone gpu to get better. Maybe 5 years from now iphone games will looks same as on mac

  2. even if its not on ultra and with ray tracing im still impressed, because the earlier console generations could not had the games running with the phones with aceptable quality at all.

  3. The Steam Deck automatically wins, no matter what kind of performance the Apple devices have. I know there is longevity in my purchase, as Steam does not arbitrarily delist titles and go out of its way to break compatibility with older software. My save games are also fully accessible without jailbreaking and Steam's cloud saving is far more reliable than any garbage on the Apple App Store.

  4. Resolution what is set in a video is pointless. Is to high. When playing on phone 720 or 900 p is enough. When connected to tv 720,900,1080p. Then you can lift all settings to medium and high and turn on extra options. And it works very well. The game sometimes looses couple frames but it is a phone anemic is early port and it is not optimized to max potencial. I love the idea to have a console in a pocket. Hope movies which is showing that it is working bad not gonna destroy this idea. Not all people want to play games with ultra max graphics on. For some medium and high is enough. What important is a story. Hope more older and new games will come to iPhone and these developers will earn more money on older and newer titles.

  5. definitely impressive, but not the best for both your experience playing the game (small screen, touchscreen controls and inconsistent frames) and your phone's lifespan (unless you buy an external cooler?).

  6. This is clearly to make way for an RE8 port to iVision in VR. I just built a new PC and got a Quest 3 and now I am sort of regretting not waiting for the Apple headset after seeing this. I could have stuck with my 1080 ti and sold a kidney or something.

  7. Not everything which is possible makes also sense. It's not really a suprise that a powerful iphone can play an adjusted version of RE4 with reduced graphics. But the question is how many people want to pay a lot money for a AAA game on an iphone which is not comfortable to play, not even with an external controller (cause of the reduced graphics, input lag and the small screen)? Furthermore it could happen that in several years the game is just disappearing from the app store, like many apps and games did over the years. The app store is not steam where you can keep your games for 20 years or longer. Then the money would be gone. The iphone will never be a good device for demanding expensive games. It's just better to use a steam deck for gaming which has more power and perfect ergonomic controls.

  8. Turn off camera acceleration. I do believe that may make the blutooth controller latency better, maybe not from a signal standpoint but the game feels latent like that generally with that option enabled.

  9. I’m just worried that these games will go the way of BioShock on iOS. There is nothing more frustrating than paying full price for a game, then having it completely disappear off the App Store no longer allowed to be used. And no refund.
