  1. At old work. We had finger print scanning. This pixel 7 optical scanner reminded me of it. Doesn't really work for me. I had to use iris scanning at work 😂

  2. The fingerprint absolutely sucks on pixel 7 it's frustrating it works for a while then it's fail fail fail fail fail
It infuriates me I wish I never bought the pixel 7 it's trash

  3. since i've have the phone, NOTHING was added to it. NOTHING. they pay millions of dollars in the span of months for developers that only destroy a fingerprint sensor. worst purchase of my life. if you want to buy any pixel phone, DON'T. ever. don't listen to youtubers that make content for money

  4. I'd be delighted if my Pixel 7 fingerprint sensor was merely slow.
The problem I have is it's very quick to reject my finger print. It's terribly unreliable.

  5. That's the most god-awful POS sensor ever made. Here's a hint: You WILL have your accounts locked up after trying to access them with this junky phone. BTW, who puts a sensor in the middle of the screen that you're trying to keep clean???

  6. Please test it again but this time with dozen or 20 different screen protectors which are affordable. You have the financial support for doing that. We don't

  7. I would be happy if my Pixel 7 finger print scanner was slow and worked. What it does is very quickly tries to read my fingerprint 3 times, it often fails to recognize the fingerprint and than I have to restart the phone and than reset my my fingerprint enabled apps. It will work great sometimes but all too often it will fail. After having issues with the Pixel 6 I would think Google would make sure the 7 worked properly. Disappointing!

  8. It depends on the Pixels fingerprint animation that lasts longer, but it's now better on the PXL 7/7Pro, it really was worst on the PXL 6 and 6 Pro.
I use my dd S22 Ultra (,with OneUI5 on Android 13), but I deactivated the animation for the Ultrasonic Fingerprint sensor, and I got to say, that it is REALLY FAST!!!
One touch, (without turning first on the screen), and it jumps open.
I can assure you guys, that's the reason as to why (it feels slow practically), but technically it's pretty fast, even on the PXL 7/ 7Pro.
And here is how to make it faster, put left and right thumb on one Fingerprint account.
If you register your Thumb, start with the right thumb, left Thumb, right Thumb, left Thumb, until you get to 100%. After you finished that, go ahead and Register your left and right thumb again.
And do the same with your index and middle fingers twice each, you can create five accounts, each with a right and left finger into one Account. try it!
And if you take a TPU Screen protector, then you don't even need to activate Touch Sensitivity at all.
    You're welcome ✌️🫡!

  9. P7P: faster only if it actually lets you in. My imprints expire after an hour or so. Delete and recreate and it works fine. For about an hour. And then: Fingerprint not recognized. Fingerprint not recognized. Fingerprint not recognized. I tried everything except a factory reset. And the funny thing is, it worked okay when it was new. I can only conclude that the Nov update broke it.

  10. Speed is only a small part of the problem. The sensor on my 6 fails most of the time when unlocking. On my 3 I can't remember it ever not working and it was far more conveniently located. I loved the 3 and pretty much hate the 6.

  11. I don't mind a little slower than others but I do mind inconsistent. One day my 7 opens no problem. The next, fuhggedaboutit! Drives me nuts. Same with the face unlock.

  12. My pixel 7 fingerprint scanner stopped working completely 2 days past the best buy 14 day return period :{ The phone will scan your finger just fine, I scanned the same thumb with all 4 fingerprint registries and it still won't work.

  13. Slow is not the issue.. for me the FPR doesn't work. I've deleted and readded FPs, I've made sure everything is up to date, I've tested in light environments and in the dark.. are there patches or other steps to take to fix this?

  14. The only good place for a fingerprint sensor is on the back. It's faster, more ergonomic, and it just works. Otherwise, face ID is superior (the type the Pixel 4 and iPhones have, not the Pixel 7's half assed implementation).

  15. I just switched from a Samsung s10e and I'm super disappointed with the fingerprint sensor. It's so slow and unreliable compared to the a capacitive sensor. The rest of the phone is great. However, everytime I pick it up, my first impression is disappointment. Google picked a terrible thing to cut corners on.

  16. My BRAND NEW Pixel 7's finger print scanner won't read my finger print on lock screen even though I had it registered. I have a screen protector on and it's kinda waste to remove it now since they just had it installed. I'll probably return with in 15 days and would try to go for the pro version. Zzzzzzzzzz

  17. The Pixel 7 is great. Super fast, and the fingerprint reader combined with face recognition makes logging in much easier. Amazing photos, amazing everything else. Best phone I've ever had by a big margin.

  18. This proves nothing !! God, this click bait every time.
Just proofs that Pixel 7 scanner is faster than a slow scanner….. what at joke….
How about testing the Pixel 7 against other brands scanners.

  19. This has to be the worst video I have seen in awhile. Half the video is about the Pixel 6 Pro. I didn't come to watch about a year old device. Just get to the point dude, stop putting people to sleep

  20. They could've used the capacitive fingerprint scanner from the Pixel 5 that's still way faster and more reliable than the the one they're using in the Pixel 7. They chose to go with form over functionality again.
I still can't believe how Google shipped the Pixel 6s and the 6a with broken fingerprint scanners.

  21. Since when is putting out a new phone = fixing an issue on a different phone? "Here's a fix, buy another $600+ device 1yr or less after"

I still have a pixel 2 and it works fine, going under the screen was pointless and no one in their right mind should want face unlock.. especially if you're a user of social media filters.
