they have to release another small phone by fall 2024 when there won't be an iphone 13 mini anymore and the old se will be too old and about to be discontinued in spring 2025 duh. they always discontinue them after 3 years. 2016-2020 was different because small phones were still the norm
A mini with pro max battery life is what we need.
If there's a new SE and it's using the Mini form factor, I'd buy it. If it's the standard size chassis, I'd jist get a 13 Mini instead.
The SE series is a budget series. They will most likely focus on the battery life, since that seems to be the biggest issue.
People like to compare the SE with the mini phones, but they forget the higher insurance and cost of the mini iPhones. There is no comparison.

My opinion, essay needs to be a little bit bigger for people that still like bigger phones. I want to go cheap.

What worries me , is that there is no improvement in terms of display panel. When do we get to see a 90Hz refresh rate panel with no notch. There are no improvements in the battery specs too. I want to upgrade my iPhone XR but l don’t think upgrading to iPhone 13 or 14 will be a big difference. I would still feel that I’m using the same phone
i'm Face ID guy because if there is a notch there's gotta be a reason, but if Touch ID they should eliminate the notch and just make a cut-out for the earpiece and camera

1:51 The 13 mini has a 5.4” display, not 5.7”. Anyway, rumor has it that the next SE will use either the 5.8” screen from the X/XS or the 6.1” one from the XR. My money is on the XR’s screen size as the chassis is made out of aluminum (which the SEs have historically used) vs the more “premium” steel on the X/XS. It would probably be easier to just modernize the internals of the XR with a new A-chip etc and call it a day!
