  1. Bought one that's (allegedly) in mint condition, and have been continuously underwhelmed since.its only been a few days, but the sound quality is abysmal both on calls and media, takes too long to load after a restart, strange bugs (proximity sensor flickering for example), LAG loading media, camera isn't on par with my old Note, overheats…and this is after restoring the factory rom. I miss my Samsung and wish I'd just returned the pixel while I could

  2. How is the Google Pixel 5 still good you ask? That's easy, it's Google's last Qualcomm powered pixel phone which is far superior to the custom tensor chips starting with pixel's 6 then 7 and now 8.

  3. Great review…I just recently talked about this phone and have had it from day 1 in 2020 release, and I tell you it's tough as nails, and I gave it to my daughter and it's still rolling.

  4. I love my pixel 5, I've had it since it came out and I'm upgrading to the 7 instead of 8 to see if I'll like a bit bigger screen if not I'll get a similar size phone(more than likely another Pixel) to the pixel 5 next. And if it wasn't for the lack of security updates then I'd keep the 5 for one more year

  5. Everything you mentioned is there in my Pixel 4a 🤷 , I think wide and 4K60 recording ( which seems useless to me )
Also pixel 4 got A14 update, pretty much same specifications as pixel 5(correct me if I am wrong) ..

  6. The same problem with my Pixel 5:

Always on screen mode doesn’t work properly. The screen goes totally black seconds after it is locked, though it has to always reflect “always on screen” info. As well, totally black screen neither responds to touch, nor to taking the phone into my hands (nothing happens when I touch the screen or take the phone; it remains in sleep mode without any sign).

Reboot fixes this for a short period of time (about an hour or so), and then the screen goes black again, only responding to pushing the power button.

    How to fix this?

  7. My pixel 5a was an awesome phone but I had to trade it in for the eight pro because they gave me $270. I can't beat that. And another thing is the seven-year security patches on a new phone

  8. I had the pixel 2 and have had the pixel 5 for this past year. Exceptionally good phone and the size is perfect. I'll be upgrading to an 8 soon because I saw the size is pretty close to the 5. But I won't just let the 5 rot in the drawer; it's too good for that. I've actually done photo comparisons with iphone 13 pros and 14s and everyone was blown away by how good the pixel photos are. Even in a side by side comparison with the 14 pro max, more people still preferred the 5! And oh, it's a battery powerhouse!

  9. Still using it as my daily driver and it has held up really well. Still buttery smooth with A14. Although I'm looking to get the Pixel 8 because of the long term support and size

  10. I would really like to but this phone now that it doesn't cost so much, but I think it can be a problem without the security updates that are ending in this month. there aren't any other phones with this size that cost around 300 euro…

  11. I have bought google pixel 5 this summer in perfect condition for 150€ and its on steroids best decision i ever made, everything smooth, battery extremely good, camera diabolical
