  1. if i wanted to use the backup camera as a regular camera to record the back of my car, can i skip that step of hooking it up with the red wire; and just plug the other end into the unit itself? and if i can will any power generate from the red wire and make it unsafe if it is not used?

  2. Just picked up one of these, excited to install but noticed that the rear cam is powered by the main unit, it has a trigger wire but no ground – is this at risk of shorting out the reverse light?

  3. a few drawbacks – but the main one for me is the quality of the audio which you did not show not tested – how do you rate the sound 1 being the TOP of the line sound like BOSE AMP and 1 being Toyota tercel or YOGO sound 40 watt amp 4 garbagy speakers? and I WOULD NEVER buy anything that start with TRUM – could be a fake University, steak, or even presidency, in this case, a fake or extremely bad Audio system.

  4. I tried a couple of these models and found a feature which stopped me from using this. That is only one phone pair at a time. This means that if there are more than one driver of the same car, it becomes an annoyance to unpair one device and join another every time. Also, the last bluetooth pairing will automatically connect and start android auto/carplay of that phone is within range, even if that phone is not in car but inside house or nearby. That makes it a bit difficult to unpair the bluetooth because the unpair screen will not come easily. You have to go to bluetooth music option and disconnect bluetooth from there. So, basically not user friendly in case of multiple drivers and multiple phones.

  5. This projector gets the job done pretty well. https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxS9P8zTOcmQg-hH0QeUi3dspOLyYgQ6dH Bear in mind it's a mini projector but all things considered the picture quality is pretty good. The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

  6. What happens when you turn off the power from the lighter socket. Is it turn off in general or have some kind of memory power like aftermarket car radio. Which is save all of the settings and options which you choose when you set it up?

  7. Can this unit continuously run an image from a camera on the back of a caravan AT THE SAME TIME as showing an image (using the split screen function) as showing a map image using Apple CarPlay from an iPhone running the Apple Maps app.
That’s not using the Video input for a reversing camera on the vehicle – I already have that on my built in AV head unit.

  8. I've the exact same but the device doesn't show up on my Bluetooth list on Pixel 7. I've updated the firmware, restarted phone and the device, factory reset device, renamed Bluetooth but it just won't show up. Tried using an iphone but it's the same. Anyone came across this issue? Thanks

  9. at the prices this unit is going online, and the only really unique selling point (besides carplay/Android Auto) being the DVR, I think a similarly specced DVR on its own, will do me just fine. For some reason I can't figure out anymore, I assumed the unit had actual car radio features, such as FM/DAB/HD-Radio etc tuner as well as stand-alone apps(particularly navigation). A proper add-on car stereo basically. Alas, if I need my phone to blast everything to the unit all the time, I may as well just use my phone, for all the 3" it is shorter 🙂

  10. So what about doing the review?
What is the difference between the fm transmitter, and the line out? How does the transmitter compare with others that are stand alone, and is it a line out of an aux out, and what is the power output for it. If it’s an lower powered audio output, then the radio will be ran at an higher volume, thus producing a nasty sound, if it is loud enough at all. The same thing for the fm transmitter. What about the resolution of the screen, type of technical in the screen? Dash cams, how are the recording day/night, what about the transitions from dark to light, you know how at night the car that’s driving towards you, can cause the dash cam to be unusable for a few seconds. How does it handle light/dark, direct sun/parked car in the country. What format, quality, length, and can they be changed, and how, for the recording’s from the dascams.

  11. Is there an option to mount this to a windshield? This is what I'm looking for – I just would like to see another mounting option if any existed for it. Thank you!
