  5. Waiting on the refresh but getting it with old HW3 seems crazy, will never do that. And I'm definitely not making any decision based on the running joke of FSD being "almost ready" for nearly 10 years — particularly after Elon's jaw-dropping recent livestream of his own car attempting to venture into oncoming traffic at the worst possible time (waiting at a red light when drivers are often looking away).

  12. I just hope it doesn't come without a stalk for the indicator lights. The buttons on the new S and X are impossible to operate in roundabouts so that will unfortunately be a dealbreaker for me. Not a fan of the horn and the wiper buttons either as they too keep shifting positions depending on the angle of the wheel, and will sometimes even be inverted, forcing you to look down before you can actually press the correct button.
    Perhaps Tesla just simply forgot that most of the world uses roundabouts and not intersections like in the US..

    And imagine having to quickly press the horn to warn someone who is about to back into you. But then you have to look down to figure out where the button is first, and then "bam"… ops.. too late..

  13. It looks like the ACTUAL purchase price of the current Model 3s are still the same. They just changed the view of the *potential savings for a Tesla to estimategas savings from 4-7 or 5-7 years to make the price after potential savings look less expensive and ultimately the car itself look less expensive but the actual prices haven't changed.

  15. As soon as Highland is available to order in Phoenix I'm ordering performance and if they offer option for yoke I'm getting that too even if it costs extra. If it wasn't for this refresh I would have already ordered the current model 3

  19. Hi, I'm not sure if yoke steering wheels would comply with UK Construction and Use Regulations or the corresponding EU ones. Maybe someone who knows could comment? If not compliant they would be illegal over here and could not be imported. In general we have roundabouts and a lot more bendy roads so a continuous curved wheel makes more sense here. Should fully autonomous driving ever come to pass – definitely not legal here at present – then of course there is no need for a steering wheel and maybe the yoke concept is a nod by Elon in this direction.

  23. Do you think we'll get any sort of confirmation on the battery chemistry? I understand the RWD will be LFP but I'm curious if it will be the same for the LR and/or performance models
