  1. I thought this solution had worked for me but in fact a simple update (22H2) to Windows 10 loaded fine, which fooled me into thinking this solution had worked. However, I decided to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro to solve the problem I had with automatic proxy setup not being available, and the error came up again. The solution was in fact very simple. I was using a bootable USB stick from Microsoft official downloads, and just had to change the boot order via the BIOS, and this worked first time with no error codes. I suppose that makes sense when you consider this is a boot record related error? Anyway thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
